Most Helpful Positive Review I'm a novice and it worked for me!
NOTE: despite the description, mini size does NOT come with a spatula. Now I see reviews that say this but sadly didn't see them before ordering. I used a plastic knife and it worked fine, although it's not ideal because of the serration on the knife causing many tiny strings. I'll have to get a real spatula.
So I have never waxed anything at home and have been plucking my eyebrows since March thanks to COVID (I usually have them professionally waxed). But since apparently my ancestors are part Sasquatch, this was getting old, I can't even see some of the smaller hairs, and I wanted that waxed smoothness.
Instead of buying the giant wineglass shaped cup (WHY), I used a silicon baking cup (like you would use for cupcakes instead of the paper cups). That worked great although that particular cup won't be used for baking anymore. Once the wax cools, you can just sort of crack it off, but it did leave little wax bits around the rim, but who cares, this one will be my wax cup. You really need something shallow, the cup they sell seems insane to me.
Anyway, took me a few minutes in 30-sec microwave intervals to get the wax to the right consistency. Then you have to kind of run to the bathroom because it cools fast. I painted it on with the plastic knife (that won't be reusable, haha) and let it cool. I'm super impatient so I let it cool like twice as long as I thought I needed to. Ripped it off like the pros do, opposite direction of hair growth. Hair came off great!
Took me 2 times per eyebrow to get all the hair, not because the wax didn't work but because my placement using a plastic knife was not awesome. The wax does form these crazy long threadlike strings that get all over the place, but you can kind of pluck them off and roll them up in a ball and they dry and come right off. So they are annoying but I'm sure I'll get better at this. My skin was a little red but about the same as when I have it waxed professionally. So I think it's a great product!

so i used this on my legs and armpits both have thicker hair. let me just say armpits worked way better and i don't know why because i did the one handed. legs on the other hand... i took all the right steps and not many hairs came off, especially on my thighs, where the hair is thinner. i'd say about 80% hair cake off on calves and 10% came off on thighs. i was about to give up on this until i used it on my armpits. i'm in love with those results but do not recommend for larger areas

I was looking at this product and I shook it around and there was a cockroach the size of a toddlers middle finger

So let me just say I've been a Wakse user for 2 years now and I'm hooked! This is the third scent I've tried and it's probably my favourite! It smells way better than the others I've tried and looks so pretty when melted…like an iridescent light lavender. It also feels like it peels easier somehow. I should mention that I've only used it on my face…I haven't tried it on my body yet as I normally shave. It works perfectly! Removes all the hairs when used correctly. It's also so easy to use! Love it!

This wax works amazing! I had zero problems with it. I used it on my armpits, I have thick hairs and this wax pulled them out with zero problems. This mini container is the perfect trial size, great for anyone who wants to try it before buying the bigger size.
This was my first time using this type of wax, and it was very easy and painless. Highly recommend trying it out. Apply even layers and it works awesome!

This product is absolutely worthless. It didn't remove one single hair. Not one.

This "color" of the Wakse hard beads is great!!! I used it on my boyfriend's back, it worked SO well. He claims it's a little painful but he's also never waxed… so…. Anyway, would highly recommend. DO NOT use the gold Wakse beads, they're unbelievably sticky and don't work the same as the Cosmic Candy.
Stuck to skin

I love how pretty it is however it's not that much and it didn't pull the hairs quickly like other wax I've tried.
Only for specific areas

I bought this specifically for my legs, & I've used wax strips before and liked them, but I wanted to try wax beans. I'm gonna have to go back to wax strips. This worked on my underarms, but it also dries quickly, and makes a huge mess. I had to shave the rest off. And it left a lot of dried up residue on my legs/underarms as well. Overall this might be okay, but not worth the money.

I have used several at home waxes before and this is by far my favorite. love the scent, and it works so well.
No for me
Tay from California
I bought this wax originally for my bikini area thinking I could use it with strips....NOPE, so I tried it on its own and it was the worst. Tried it on my eyebrows and I found my self having to go over spots 2-3 times. Tried it on my legs and it took maybe two hairs off. Really was wanting for this to work but it's a no for me.

This will def not be enough for your legs but is more than enough for underarms & face waxing. Any wax is not going to get every hair but some tips are to make sure the area is dry and U can use powder before waxing

Im a hairy girl. Ive tried sugar waxes, wax strips, epilators(intense ik), and the hard wax by Parissa. This is by far the most gentle! I waxed my tummy (near the u know), and it is super beginner-friendly! The consistency can be spread thin and it will still pull the finest of hairs. I might have gone over the area 2x but it was so fast since i did large scoops of wax. ALSO, I DIDNT MICROWAVE IT. im just reusing the Parissa pan and the wax warmer and it keeps it hot throughout the entire process.
I would def recommend this when used in the same way. Cant wait to try other low-pain tolerance areas!
Considering it's from Ulta...

Works pretty good!!! Those that have horrible reviews about it probably aren't using it right.

I wanted to save money and bought this wax together with the reusable cup so I can wax my legs and possibly other areas of my body. It was a terrible experience. The wax did not remove all of my hair and no matter how thick I made the wax on my leg, it stuck to my skin and I was unable to pull it off from certain areas. It was painful. I don't plan on using this again, I would leave the waxing to the professionals lol it is not as easy as you may think.

wax that literally doesn't work. there were areas of my legs and face that I had to go over at least three times and then wound up shaving/dermaplaning anyway bc the wax would not adhere to the hair. I'm white and have very fine blonde hair it should not have been this difficult. now my skin is incredibly angry and inflamed and I used the entire jar of wax beans. I will be returning the entire set I got including the applicator sticks and melting pot.

I've only tried this and one other hard wax at home. Maybe this just isn't for me, but I found it difficult to use. It cooled down so fast that it took excessive amounts of time, and required multiple passes to get everything. It might be good for face/smaller areas where you can apply quickly and move on. It didn't irritate my sensitive skin though, and clean up of excess wax was easy so I'll give it that.

Easy to use in any warmer. Like not having to use fabric strips.
Best wax I've ever used!

I've been using the wax you take off with the cloth strips, I will never go back! This wax is less painful and actually removes hair much better. Plus, you don't have the sticky mess afterwards.

Tested it on my armpits and it pulled out all of the hair. The skin on my armpits has been really soft ever since using this wax. It also smells good so that's a plus. This was my first time trying at home waxing and I'm glad this wax worked for me.
Great at home wax

I'm very happy with this wax. I do not use the little silicone cup sold separately. I have an actual wax warmer. The wax is a good quality and works well on coarse hairs. I use this wax for under arms, legs, facial hair, and pubic hair.
I will purchase this wax again.
Works great! Smells good too!

This wax worked great! I have sensitive skin and this wasn't bad at all. So satisfying to see all the hair it got. It smells amazing too!
Easiest at home wax
Marlene from USA
Best at home wax product I've tried. Easiest to heat up. Best part is you don't need strips, the wax hardens and you just rip it off. Makes at home waxing much easier.
Worth every penny!

I was very spectacular about purchasing this wax but since I've been seeing it all over social media I figured I will give it a try and I'm so glad that I did!! I have really coarse and stubborn hairs and this wax did such great job of removing it without making my skin super sensitive. Will definitely be purchasing more in the future
Definitely will be purchasing more!!

My mom bought this for me with their reusable melting pot and it works really good, I have very coarse and stubborn hairs on my chin and I love the results I get every time I wax with wakse!
Best purchase by far!

I've been seeing this wax all over Tiktok and I figured I will give it a try... and I'm obsessed with it super easy to use to strips needed and my skin feels so amazing afterwards no crazy bumps or reaction. I'm definitely gonna purchase more
