Was so excited about these, but the construction is not grea

As someone with curly hair (2C, 3B), I've used clips like this for 2 decades now! This size specifically was near impossible to find, as Goody stopped putting them out in the past 10 years or so. I was SO excited to see them on Kitsch! I'm pretty baffled that these have gotten such high scores, mayb...e it's folks who have not worn the same ones by Goody. But these, while they look nice and do the job of holding the hair, are NOT well-made for comfort. One of them completely fell apart (popped open) the day I got them out of packaging. So that's one clip down, it snapped due to the pressure of the spring in the middle. Funny enough, Goody JUST re-released this style again and I'm able to make a direct comparison. There is a certain level of pressure present in the spring mechanism in the Kitsch version which makes them hurt the scalp when worn more than 1 day in a row. I wear these daily, for both half-up and fully up-dos. These are too tight in the hold, and they dig into the scalp when worn. Nice idea, decent appearance, flawed execution. If you'd like to properly beta test these in the future, let me know. Sadly, when I realized this, it was not possible to return them given one had snapped. : / So for anyone who has even the slightest sensitivity on their scalp, I cannot recommend these. I'll be using the nearly exact same ones from Goody, which are a fraction of the cost, do the job, and don't poke the skin or snap upon release, because they have a protective component on BOTH ends of the spring, not just one. Gave the stars for the nice appearance (matte finish) and recycled materials.
