Is this reef safe?
- Asked by Megs
- Official Answer By Supergoop! - Brand EngageHi there, We have chosen to move away from the term “reef-safe” because today there is no definitive standard or third party regulation of this claim. However, we follow Hawaii’s state guidelines meaning we don't formulate with octinoxate or oxybenzone. We have never used oxybenzone and as of 2020, we have removed octinoxate from all of our formulas! Was this answer helpful to you

Instant New Favorite
Bought this when it was half off to try it out. I'm a sunscreen nut, since I'm white as sin and skin cancer runs in the family, and it's a new favorite for all of us (especially since our all time top fave, the La Roche Posay unscented sunscreen with ecamsule, isn't really sold in the US). I love th...

Buy Unseen Sunscreen instead!
I had already used/loved Unseen, so I thought I'd order Matte Screen and Glow Screen as well. The Glow Screen wasn't for me and my acne textured cheeks, but I had high hopes for Matte Screen. Shook it well, the texture was nice in my hand, and I liked the neutral tint as I've found that other ti...

Love it
Great sunscreen, primer, tinted base in one. Lightweight, blends right into my skin without any effort, very comfortable. Price, however, is too high. Unfortunately, I'll be buying it elsewhere from now on. Every time I'm ready to place an order, I enter the code for a discount and it says expired. I'm fed up with wasting all that time to get nowhere. I can find it elsewhere on sale without all the stress.
Really wanted this to be good for my skin
After about five days of usage, my skin broke out so bad it took about three weeks for it to calm down, super disappointed
Absolute yes for oily skin!
For years I've been looking for a product that would contain my oil skin. Most of them claimed to do so, but of course none of them did. It wasn't until I tried this sunscreen that I could say my oily skin has been tamed. Yes, it leaves a slight white case, but that's the norm with any mineral sunscreen. I have darker complexion, and the white cast isn't too bad. I would 100% recommend for anyone who has oily skin!
Breakouts and clogged pores
Every single time I've put this on, my entire face breaks out in comedomes by the end of the day. I wanted to love this because the texture is smooth like a primer and it's truly matte, but no other sunscreen has ever clogged my pores this bad.
Meh
I purchased to wear under makeup and it was awful!! Tried it alone, with different primers, my makeup just wouldn't lay right with this under it. Looked decent by itself though.
