Most Helpful Positive Review Great formula
Very comfortable to wear with a large range of stunning colors. A bit of a warning, these are very liquidy in the tube and in application, but they do dry down completely matte with no transfer. I only bring this up to warn you when you pull out the applicator do not tilt the bottom part of the lipstick as the product will spill out of the container. This is only an issue if the lid is not on the lipstick, it doesn't spill if it is closed properly.
Most Helpful Critical Review Nope.
Jinx is a great color on me. Unfortunately, it's got issues. It applies thinly and very watery. It also dries down fast, so you need to apply a 2nd coat within 10 seconds and hope the applicator doesn't push the liquidy product around into patches.
Once it dries down, it makes my lips feel beyond dry. They feel chapped. That happens no matter which lip balm I use beneath this stuff. (No, my lips weren't chapped beforehand.) The only way to fix that is to dab a bit of balm on top of the dried-down lipstick. Doing this makes the lipstick patchy, no matter how careful and gentle I am about it. But patchy coverage is far better than stingingly dry lips.
With or without a top coat of lip balm, Jinx isn't long lasting. I'd rate it a 6 on the long-lasting/no-transfer scale. Honestly, I'd rather just wipe it all off than reapply it. So I'd only wear this for an event/outing lasting 1-3 hours, tops. (If I was actually going to wear it again.)
Color wise, Too Faced Melted Matte in Wine Not is very close to Lime Crime Jinx, and it's a much better formula-especially for this price range.
After buying Jinx, I found another Lime Crime Velvetine shade, Teacup, at another store. Teacup's even worse than Jinx: super watery and streaky application, and just as painfully drying. I won't give Lime Crime's liquid lipstick a 3rd chance.

Pigment is beautiful, but it bleeds into my face makeup, I feel like it doesn't fully dry down.

My absolute favorite nude lip color. I love it so much. I will always buy it. I usually hate nude colors on me but this is literally perfect for everyday.
This is my 3rd time purchasing

This lip product is great. Sometimes I have chapstick under or over top and it works both ways. Also when my lips are very hydrated (not usually the case lol) this lipstick goes on smoothly without the need for chapstick. I love this color and will keep repurchasing.

Hands down the BEST lipstick I have ever tried. It's not patchy, the pigment is consistent, and I'm so in love with how it smells like cake. It is SO worth the money, and it's become my go-to! For those hesitating to buy it: go for it!!!
Found my go to lipstick!

I love dark lipstick, but it's so hard to find one that doesn't bleed or is just plain patchy. I decided to give Lime crime a try and purchased the shade wicked, I put it on in the car lol. It went on in one swipe no patchiness what so over and stayed on all day. Grocery shopping with a mask? Stayed on. Greasy burger dinner? Stayed on. Kissing my monsters good night? Still on. My husband said "you know if you want to wear that every day for the rest of your life, I'm okay with that" best liquid lip ever and hands down the best blood red I have ever tried! I'm in love. I've worn it every day since I bought it.
Zenarya from Cumming, GA
I bought BloodMoon because I am a sucker for dark, deep colors, and this one looked amazing. The color is nice, but the formula is watery, applies very patchily, and it does dry down quickly, which then results in LOTS of flaking and needing to be re-applied. Such a shame for such a beautiful color.

LOVE!! This has become my daily cookie
Angie's mom from Vacaville
I have the shade (Shoom) and it's so nice the perfect brown in my opinion!!! It looks so nice and the formula is not very drying very comfortable and it lasts pretty good amount of time I gave it 4Stars because the packaging is quite awful so much product comes out it could be a good thing but when you have to re touch it's quite messy I wish the stopper was a bit better!!
true red/ red velvet
Annie from NJ
it is a beautiful classic red however once it dries down it is tacky and DRY on the lips which I guess is what makes it long wear and transfer proof.will no be repurchasing due to dry/uncomfortable. i wear it with a lip balm on top which make it look not matte but glossy and it is not longer tranfer proof but comfortable to wear.

I love this color and the pigment is there but application left a little to desired. It's definitely a thinner formula than I'm used to, it definitely builds up in mouth corners. This shade is also somewhat patchy when applying it goes on darker in some areas than others so it takes a few gp overs to get an even application which is a con because it's obvious in some areas that there are layers. The powdery matte finish feels nice but causes it to flake a lot, it's very drying but it's odd because it doesn't make my lips feel dry. I bought it because wet n wild has a catsuit liquid lip in this exact shade and I loved it but the formula was bad so I tried this expecting better but the quality is about the same so it was disappointing.
all time favorite liquid lip

many people have mixed reviews about Velveteens, but if you want your lip to stay no matter what- this is your liquid lip. it can be drying, but just make sure to exfoliate or prep before applying. velveteens will stay no matter what, and last forever since you rarely need to reapply.
ldyolvebag from michigan
I had always heard wonderful things about this but was wholly underwhelmed. It didn't fully coat my lips but if you did 2 layers, it would peel. I returned it. I'd get too faced or kylie instead
best lipstick around
partygirlcity from Florida
this is the best lipstick. it lasts forever, no matter what you're doing, and it doesn't smudge or get all over your face. drinking at the bar? it stays on. making out with a trashy frat boy in the middle of the dance floor? it stays on. going down on that same trashy frat boy later that night? it stays on. if you're worried about it drying out your lips (it was only a little drying in my personal experience) just apply chapstick or lip balm before and while you're wearing it. my favorite color is pumpkin! so happy it recently just went on sale :)
tangerine from westco
The product is creamy and dries matte, can be a little drying for the lips but some lip prep beforehand (i.e. lip mask and lip balm) helps. I have several colors because I enjoy this formula a lot, but Sasha is my favorite, a warm pink nude that goes well with almost any eye look.
The color Wicked was patchy and difficult to apply
Aero from Wisconsin
The color 'wicked' looked good once I managed to get a -fairly- even coat of color on, which took A MINUTE with this somewhat watery formula. It also smells like a cheap, overly-sweet perfume that they say is vanilla scent. I tried wearing this color on a few occasions, and each time it would be cracked with dryness on my lips after an hour or so, and I didn't ever have this issue with the j* velour lipsticks I'd been using. I wanted to try an alternative brand with a color similar to unicorn blood, and this just didn't do it for me like I wanted.

a great deep shade of black! it works great as a lip liner or just as a lipstick alone. add a clear gloss and your lips look soooo good. lime crime never fails.

Had tried a few Velveteens in the past, Salem being my favorite, until I saw they came out with new shades. The Peacock shade was calling my name and I had to add it to my cart.
Its a wonderful shade of matte blue teal that is dramatic in all the best ways. Fantastic for dramatic or editorial looks and a stand out when paired with a classicly made up face too. Smell isn't chemically and is pleasant. The only downside is depending on how much you layer it can get dry. Going heavy handed on applications isn't necessary. One of my top 5 lip products for sure.

I can't rave enough about this product. I love Limecrime. This lipstick stays on, will not come off until you use a makeup remover. Beautiful color.
Great Matte Lipstick
LaMoya from Florida
These lipsticks are great! I bought 6 different colors. I'm a matte lipstick kind of girl and these look great under gloss or on their own and don't need a lip liner. If you have dry lips or don't like how mattes dry down, apply an oil-free lip balm maybe 5 mins before putting on the lipstick and it makes it so much more comfortable. These have great color payoff and stay on for a long time, at least 6 hours with no reapplication. Highly recommend if you like matte lipsticks
BLOT Those Lips
A. from Folsom, CA.
Okay, so trial and error on my part. I love this, it smells heavenly and glides on great (doesn't feel dry when it dries on too so big plus). The thing is, I learned you have to blot with tissue after because the color builds up around the corners of your lips where it's applied. It can mess up a look but if you blot, it looks and works excellent.
Sky from Albany NY
I've heard great things about lime crime which is why I bought this lipstick and it's AMAZING I was not expecting it to be so velvety smooth and the color is just amazing in love can't wait to buy more!!!
Alice from Maryland
Probably one of the best matte lipsticks I've ever tried! Goes on super smoothly and doesn't look patchy. Very pigmented and nice. I will totally get another one < 3
Ale from Laredo tx
Loved the way it applies and the pigmentation what i didn't like was that it doesn't last and ends up everywhere. Its very messy. I expected more since i had heard good reviews.
Shay from Nevada
I've owned probably 6 of these lipsticks and while they smell again and the pay off is good they flake away like no other! Definitely not in my top favorite lipsticks.
why does it burn
90s movie bully from texas
I put this on my lips in the normal fashion, within seconds it was all over my teeth and tongue(?), it was patchy on the first coat so I put on another one. Still patchy and it kind of burns... but I look like the bully in a 90s coming of age movie so thats kind of cool I guess 🤷🏻♀️
