I actually enjoy this sponge for my liquid foundation and blush. Like other reviewers noted, the key is to use this sponge damp. When it's damp, this really makes my foundations look wonderful and it's very easy to apply to makeup. It's too hard when it's dry to do much. The sponge also stains almost right away - I haven't been able to make it look clean since the first use. However, it doesn't seem to impact the sponge's ability to blend out my makeup, and I haven't had any issues with tearing. The real downside of this sponge is it's shape. It works fine, but it does make it harder to go near the eyes and a rounded shape would be better for blush. However, it's still cute and works well, so I do think it's worth the price tag.
I loved this blender at first and I personally love the marshmallow shape and use the flat head to stipple and buff out product.
Unfortunately after a month of use it's already starting to tear. Which is surprising since it's actually much denser than most of my beauty blenders. I clean it no differently than I do my other blenders and they still in tact no rips or tears.
I'm sad this does not last that long since I did enjoy using it. This was my first nyx blender so I probably won't buy another one from them.
It does not blend makeup well into the face. Or absorb water well. It's cute but not functional.
The marshmallow sponge is as cute as it is functional. I like to use the flat side to tap in my foundation/base. I use the edges to contour and flat side again to apply blush and highlighter. This is a bit harder than the traditional beauty blender but I find that it works well. Yes, i still do prefer the Beauty Blender over this but there's nothing wrong with this at all. I find that this soaks up less product than the Beauty Blender, which is nice.
This is my absolute favorite beauty blender of all time!!! I have acne, textured skin and big pores, so I have to apply a good layer of foundation and concealer to cover everything. I prefer to apply with a brush for coverage, but I always seem to end up with the dreaded CAKEFACE.
However, now, after my foundation is applied, I simply stamp this little miracle over top of my face before I set it, and it improves the texture of my makeup WITHOUT COMPROMISING COVERAGE!!! I can even go over problem areas after it is set and it is like a *blurring tool*.
If I could buy a truckload of these, I totally would! I'd give one to every woman I know, and I literally have YET to use it damp!
It's more dense than a beauty blender but it does the same thing and I've washed it at least 10 times and it goes back to looking new every time. It does take longer to dry than a beauty blender, I imagine it's due to the shape, but I don't see that as a problem as long as you rinse with cold water.
I love a good makeup sponge and this is not one of them. I tried it with my primer and found it unhelpful. Tried it with my foundation and it worked even worse
