Makeup Revolution's Loose Baking Powder is a favorite for prolonging the wear of makeup, banishing shine, brightening and balancing skin tone.
Talc, Mica, Methylparaben, Propylparaben. May Contain: Iron Oxide (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499).
I just started baking and using setting powders. Everyone raves over Laura Mercier's translucent powder which is 40 dollars for one ounce. I'll spend money on good makeup but lately, I've been trying to get out of the "if it's not expensive it won't be good quality" mindset. I first heard RCMA no color powder was a good dupe and it's 12 bucks for 3 ounces, but you have to buy on a different website and pay for shipping and I believe that total was 17 and some change. I didn't mind my RCMA, but it felt drying and I do not bake for a long time. I decided to try this lace baking powder because I wanted to originally before buying RCMA but it was out of stock at my store. I like it. I think if you're having troubles with cakeyness and drying out your skin, don't bake for too long. I literally do under 5 minutes and I quickly set my concealer under my eye once I blended it, but only bake the area right under my dark circles, because I've noticed baking the entire under eye leaves them very dry and cakey looking. I also only bake the middle of my chin and top of my forehead for texture, and this one really diminishes texture. I set the powder in my smile lines and my foundation does not end up settling there. The only thing I'll bake for a good 5 minutes is under the contouring of the cheekbones. It also makes my skin feel velvety, not dry. I like the lace color, it works well or me having light to fair skin with cool pink undertones. Also to avoid cake face I've been using a spray primer rather than liquid and I believe it helps and I really prefer that method of priming. Basically, I think RCMA has a great product, but I prefer this lace powder. It doesn't feel as drying, blurs texture more, prevents my makeup from settling in expression and smile lines, and my makeup lasts all day. In comparison to RCMA, it was more drying and didn't blur my texture as well but did set my makeup and made it last, but I'll continue to use this lace baking powder.
This setting power is good if you're out of your favorite/ high end powders. I love the price and you get a lot of product for your money. I noticed that I can't "bake" too long in this product cause it seems like it doesn't blend well with my other makeup, but keeping it on for a minute or so gets the job done and it doesn't crease as much throughout the day. It is difficult to apply this product without making a mess because of the packing. I would recommend having a bigger lid or the option of dipping the brush inside the product without wasting a lot of it.

Sits in fine mines really badly, leaves a very ugly dark cat under eyes.

prime not the best for someone with dryer skin. even with priming and moisturizing. The packaging is also horrible!! Why do I need to tap the powder out onto something. it makes a mess.

Honestly I was using this for a while and thought it was good. Until I used my camera for a mirror and realized you could literally see the yellow all under my eyes! (I have the banana one). Yeah it just doesn't blend well. I put a little on, and dust off immediately (I don't bake) and still it shows up yellow. Prime example is the girl who rated this a 5star under her picture (of her mouth) you can clearly see all the yellow powder. Maybe that's the look she is going for but that's not what I call brightening. Honestly I learned with makeup (in most cases) you get what you pay, things are expensive for a reason!
