Most Helpful Positive Review LOVE - virtually perfect
I own a ton of sheer lipsticks and balms, but I think I've finally found my holy grail lip balm! I have dry skin and like to have really moisturized lips. I'm allergic or sensitive to a lot of plant-based ingredients but not to lanolin, so this is awesome, and definitely the best I've found for the price! The plain 101 ointment is great too, but this cap opens and closes more easily/comfortably for use throughout the day, and the Perfect Nude is seriously my lip color (medium pink, and rarely pale) but better. This goes on glossy-satiny and not sticky and then sinks in for a gorgeous satiny finish that lasts a long time for a balm. No scent, no smell, just a beautiful and pleasant texture. Because of the lack of taste or fragrance, I actually prefer this to some of the comparably hydrating but more expensive balms I own (bite agave, nuxe reve de miel). I love to use this with the mlbb bite lip pencil in shade 010 for a more polished and longer-lasting nude look.
The one caveat is that this formula/packaging combo requires a bit of thought to use without mishap. The formula is very thick when it's cool, and too much will spurt out of the large hole if you squeeze the tube too hard without letting it warm up in your hands first (30 seconds to a minute should do it). I also recommend holding the tube against your lips as you squeeze to help prevent this problem. When the spurt happened to me, I used the excess over my bb cream as a surprisingly long-lasting blush, glossy highlighter, and eye gloss multiple for a really pretty and fresh nude-pink monochrome look. Those with oily skin or darker skin tones may not have luck using it this way, but I'm dry and really fair, so I love it and will definitely use this as a multiple again! I fully intend to repurchase, and will be getting the Rhubarb soon for when I feel like going darker/brighter and pinker.
Most Helpful Critical Review Good color, poor texture
The color is a universally flattering nude. Upon application, the color goes on okay but it does feel thick. Over a few a hours the color fades, loses shine and you get a gross rim of build up around the center of your mouth where your top and bottom lip meet. It's gross! I have keep on checking that the building is not there yet making me look like I didn't wash my face or clean my mouth in the morning. I thought this was because my lips are so dry but...isn't this supposed to be moisturizing??

Best lip product I have used
ccas from Redlands, CA
I've been struggling with dry chapped, flaky lips all winter long and this is the product that has worked the best. I use it overnight and the next day my lips are healed. I also use it during the day when needed
Sam from California
This nude is the perfect shade. It looked very pink in the bottle but on it looks super natural (I am very fair skinned) with the right amount of shine. It isn't super sticky like a lipgloss and still feels hydrating like a chapstick.
My fave tinted balm but…
Mandy from Fresno, CA
I absolutely adore this lip balm!! The formula is great for my very dry lips that crack and bleed easily, especially in winter. It makes my lips look so smooth and glossy and I literally own every color. The only problem I had was that it's hard to get the product out the tube when it's cold. I have to warm it up in my pocked before using it which can be annoying, but other than that I love this product.
Improved my lips instantly

I love lanolin on my lips. Before I heard of Lano lips, I was using nipple cream on lips, it did the job but I didn't like the packaging. The perfect nude is just that - adds a slight color to lips. Although it is sticky, the results are worth it!
Had to Return

I wanted to love this product but the formula wasn't for me. It was very sticky and applied thick.
Perfect tinted lip balm
kellyc from AZ
Thin but rich lip balm that's not sticky and give you a hint of color. It's basically perfect. I wish it lasted on the lips a little longer but it's easy to reapply. I got the shade rose which doesn't seem to be available through Ulta anymore. I hope they will carry it again because it's the perfect cool tone pink for my pale skin.
Beautiful and moisturizing! Love it!

This gloss style balm is really lovely. I bought it around lunch time and had mildly chapped lips. It looked really pretty even over chapped lips. I reapplied throughout the afternoon and by bedtime my chapped lips were completely healed. It's gorgeous; I got the nude and it's a pretty light nude pink. I'm going to order the other colors I love it so much. Great price point too!
Comfortable, Soothed Lips with a Natural Tint
dld from Detroit, MI
This feels exactly like the lanolin that a breastfeeding mama learns to love! Thick, moisturizing, soothing, and not at all sticky—all with a tint. I bought Perfect Nude and it is the perfect MLBB for me (I'm fair-skinned with cool/pink undertones, blue eyes, blonde hair). One caveat to application is because this product is so thick, the hole in the tube is larger than your average lip balm. Thus, I find that I have to apply this with my fingers. (Just something to note as it can make it a little more tricky to apply on-the-go.) A little bit goes a long way. Great for no-makeup, light makeup, or even full makeup with a natural looking lip!

Just what I was looking for. Feels great, good tint and no word smell or sticky feeling. it's smooth.
Daisy from Florida
Feels so good on the lips! Leave them glossy and super soft without any stickiness.
Cat from TX
Rose is a beautiful cool toned neutral pink, and the product is thin enough it feels like a gloss. It isn't sticky, it feels nice and natural. I like the applicator but I wish it had more of a flat side to help spread the product out. I can see why Lanolips is so popular!
Arrow from Boston
I have glosses that are thicker and last longer with more pigment, and balms I like better (LaNeiege, Milani lip butter). Also do not recommend this for those with arthritic hands. It gets very solid at cool temps and you have to squeeze hard to get it out of the tube. Try the twist up stick instead.
Thick and oozy

I have a lip balm obsession. I love Lanolips products! They are pricey for the actual amount of product.
When can I show off my lips??

I love this stuff so much!! While it's hydrating, my lips look AMAZING when I have it on! I have found a new fav lip gloss for my pocket
I love this product

My new lip balm!!
Lizzie from IL
I switched to this product after reading so many positive reviews on it!! Oh my goodness!! I am so glad I made the switch!! My lips are always hydrated now and I feel like I don't constantly have to be putting on product. A little goes a long way!!
my new favorite lip balm
bubbles40 from nj
great hydration and is a very solid cream consistency so it doesn't spill out of the tube! the balm melts when you work into your lips and becomes very creamy. the pink color is a beautiful shade too! very subtle natural color
I would not buy this product again, the top is made weird.
Beauty Nurse from Bristol, Vs
Lip balm, there is no applicator on the top just a tube with a big hole, totally weird.
Soft and moisturizing
JDB from OK
Glides on smoothly and has a faint cocoa butter taste and smell, which is pleasant. It's a little thinner consistency than the original lanolips but it has a little color (Perfect Nude shade), small amount of sheen, and stays put decently well. Great for everyday use and I'll absolutely buy again.
Meg from Indiana, USA
I've used plain lanolin on my cuticles and lips before bed for years. I've been on the lookout for tinted lip product with lanolin but hadn't had much luck. I SO HAPPY I found this! It's moisturizing, thick and occlusive but not sticky, very comfortable to wear. It gives a nice, soft color. I bought the nude and I'm definitely ordering the dusty pink and some of the non tinted ones. Hopefully they'll make a lipstick with lanolin some day!
It's not a tint at all...
Kay42 from Miami
It's literally lip gloss and doesn't stay for long, if I say it stays for 30 minutes it's a lot, very disappointing.
Cass from Boston
I use the perfect nude shade but picked up rose on my last Ulta trip..I wish I bought this one sooner!! It's perfect for when I'm not as tan in the wintertime and it feels just as comfortable on the lips as the other shade,..I'm rotating between the two, I really love these tinted balms they are absolutely slept on
Not Impressed, But better than nothing.
ShareBear from California
I was hoping this would have a long lasting time period and sadly, it does not. I don't think I'm a fan of the product consistency.
LOVE this lip balm!!!
Cece from Florida
I've used the Lemonaid lip treatment for a few years and finally decided to try this tinted balm. It does everything I hoped it would. It has a pretty, sheer nude tint, but most importantly it keeps my lips hydrated. My lips never get tacky, dry, or flaky when I'm wearing this. Seriously love it!
