I think this is a nice set, especially if you are not super familiar with Sol de Janiero or if you happen to love most of their fragrances. It comes with 4 quite different perfume mists, each filled with 1 fl oz. I think the size is perfect for travel and to really obtain a full opinion on each frag...rance. The packaging is a plastic spray bottle, with a plastic spry nozzle. The mist is a cone like mist, pretty standard and effective. The fragrances last me about 5-6 hours so pretty good longevity for a perfume mist. I think this would be great for if you're not sure about which scent you like, you can test out a variety of them. Then when you find which one you like, you can refill the travel vial for future trips. Honestly, only one of the fragrances was something I enjoyed. The one I enjoyed was 48. This is a fun, playful, flirty and fruity scent. It has notes of guava nectar and orchid. This is the one I would suggest and re-purchase the full size. My second fave was 40. This is black amber plum and vanilla woods. This feels more like a date night evening scent. There is a sleekness to it. It feels like a more sophisticated vanilla. The third most favorable one for me is 87. This is the Tuberose and Leite de coco (coconut milk). This one smells like sunscreen to me. It's not bad, but I associate this smell with long days in the sun, on the beach, and sunscreen. I'd probably only reach for this if I wanted to really lean hard into the beauty sunscreen type of scent. My least favorite is 62. This one is pistachio and salted caramel. I think those who like sweet gourmands will probably enjoy this one. For me, it was lacking a bit of depth that would make me intrigued. I found it to be a bit too rich and indulgent. That being said, I think these could all be layered with another fragrance and that could be really interesting! On their own, since I only really like 1 of these fragrances, I wouldn't necessarily recommend purchasing this discovery set. However, if you know you like these fragrances and want mini versions, go for it! I do think they're pretty nifty and fun. It could be a great item to put into a summer care package.
