Water alone won't cut it, and soap will strip and dry out lashes in the removal process (while also less effective than an eye makeup remover.) I have used L'Oréal telescopic for 20 years, and recently had issues with it not washing off using the same face cleanser and tecnique. I decided to try this mascara, and same problem. This is the best waterproof mascara I have ever bought. Price was also a big plus.
New formula?
I have been an avid lover of this mascara for years. I bought a new bottle this week and it's just bad. It's so overly saturated that it won't hold any type of lash curl. On the eye it feels heavy and wet. I tried wearing it all day and work and, by the end of the day, it had almost completely flaked off. Hoping I bought a bad batch but will definitely be returning.
Not worth the hype for my stubborn lashes
This is the third or fourth time that I've given this mascara a chance. People rave about it and I'll give kudos for how it holds a curl, but on my short, straight, Asian lashes it doesn't provide impressive length or volume. In my years of mascara experimentation, I'm coming to terms with a preference for nylon/fiber wands instead of the silicone/plastic one that this product has. I've had better luck with the Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift and will be giving the Maybelline Falsies Surreal Extensions a try next.
My new holy grail omg
Mascara always flaked and smudged onto the outer corners of my eyes. This mascara does not do that! It doesn't move at all. In fact, my lashes look just as good after sleeping in it. Both volume and length. Comes off easily with my oil cleanser.
