While the palette offers beautiful shades, the black in the Gilded Mini is richly pigmented and designed to give you great coverage. However, depending on the base color or primer you’re using, you may want to layer it for an even more dramatic effect. Truthfully, I bought these because I just started bartending and thought the drink named 6-pan palettes were cute. At under $10 each, I bought them all. Options. All very neutral. The pink palette and the purple palette still read very neutral, at least on my medium-tan skin. Each palette has a matte shade that's pretty much my skin tone, basically reducing these to 5-pan palettes for me. the shimmers look great on the lid, best applied with your finger, like most shimmers. Really pretty though. The mattes are nice, decently bendable, but the lighter shades just don't really show up on me. the medium and deep shades work great in the crease, under the eye, on the lid if you're doing a matte look, and to blend out eyeliner to soften it. I'm pretty happy with the looks I get with these. I see a lot here about wear time. It's not like they disappear right away, but they aren't the longest lasting. I'd say most days I get 6-8 hours intact and after that it fades out. The packaging is not really conducive to throwing it in my bag for a touch-up. Plastic palettes don't really absorb shock like cardboard palettes do, making this a high risk for product breakage.
