Concealer is not just for spot-correction. It can also highlight and contour.
If you want to use it to cancel out your skin concerns, consider what you want to conceal. Use warm yellow and golden shades to neutralize redness and inflammation. Use cool or neutral peach-based shades to counteract yellowish or bluish under-eye circles. Use cool pink tones to brighten hyperpigmentation or discoloration.
If you want to use it to highlight, after spot-correcting, pick a shade that's two shades lighter than your skin tone in your undertone. Apply the formula to the high points of your face.
If you want to use it to contour, create that extra dimension with a shade that's two to four shades deeper than your skin tone in a neutral undertone.
