Wow. I was gifted this mascara/primer duo to test thanks to Los Angeles Confidential. I have been blessed with fairly long lashes (thanks, Dad!) so my quest is always for mascara with staying power. The dream would be for a volumizing flake-free mascara. Sound the alarm: this mascara lasts all day (in intense humidity at that), volumizes, and lengthens! The brown primer is genius - it can be warn alone and gives all the length. Add the actual mascara and you get volume too. Just beautiful lashes that last. I had stopped wearing mascara to work because it never made it through the day. Now I can wear mascara again because of Dibs! I often do not feel the need for eye shadow or liner because now my lashes are the star. Not sure how this is possible but my lashes look both naturally pretty enough for the office and fantastic enough for everywhere else. I am so thrilled this mascara exists. A true game changer for me.

I absolutely love this mascara! The primer is brown and can be worn alone. It really separates lashes and is great for a more natural appearance. I have been enjoying primer only for work! Adding the second layer of black mascara really kicks up the length and volume-WOW! And it is so easy to take off since it's a tubing formula. This is my new go to mascara! I do not normally ever use a primer, but this product makes it so easy! Both sides work great separately but even better together for the full length and volume effects. I also just love having a brown mascara option and a black option in one product to help save space (I am limited in my space lol). I found myself using the brown primer on days I was going softer or "no" makeup days which I loved.

I was sent this product for review by Gloss Angeles confidential. Each end was tested separately and together to see how all of the products worked. I really love the primer. It stayed on my lashes in the hot humidity. I did not feel the need to refresh my lashes, even after having to be outside in the humid area that I live in for an extended amount of time. The mascara bite itself worked really well, but it didn't really stand out to me. Using both primer and mascara together were game changing. I really liked the way my lashes looked when using both products. There was a little fallout from the mascara, but I do think the amount of fallout was worth using the product.

I tested this dual-ended tubing mascara for a few weeks and overall, I really liked it. Especially when used together. I have fine but full lashes, and this formula delivered impressive definition and impact with the right combination. My sensitive eyes weren't affected. Pros: The brown primer is surprisingly versatile. It gives a soft, separated look on its own. Great for a more natural day but also works beautifully as a base under the black for added length and longevity. The shade of brown is flattering and rich without looking dull. The black mascara adds noticeable volume and drama. It really lifts and fattens up the lash line. Both formulas layer well and the brush designs help with even, clean application. I never had an issue with clumping. My favorite way to wear it is layered. Primer first, then the black. When worn this way, it lasted all day without smudging or flaking. Removal is easy regular face wash took it off. Cons: Performance drops off significantly when worn solo. It starts off looking great but will not last the day for me. The brown alone eventually flattens and flakes. Some other tubing mascaras have more longevity. I also wish the brown was just slightly deeper in color. The black wears better alone for longer but will still eventually dull, flatten and flake. Alone, neither holds up to sweat or even a short workout. The black brush, while effective for fluffing and volumizing, might be too big or awkward for those with very short or sparse lashes. Packaging is a little bulky. Twice the product, yes, but also twice the size in your makeup bag but not a deal breaker. Bottom Line: I'm surprised how much I liked these mascaras together. It delivers the claims, If you're looking for a long-wear formula that can go from subtle to dramatic, this duo has potential. It's even better when you're wearing both sides together. I notice considerable added length. Worn solo, it's not reliable enough for a full day, but layered, it is a standout. It won't curl your lashes but can hold a curl without drying.
