Place the basecoat brush at the base of lashes and gently sweep up to tip. Apply the Step 2 topcoat immediately after Step 1; no need to wait for drying time in between. Place the tube brush at the base of lashes and gently sweep up to tip.
To remove: Simply smooth tubes away with your fingertips when washing your face using plenty of warm water, or hold a cotton pad soaked in warm water on the lashes for 30 seconds.

Has the formula changed? This used to be the most beautiful mascara! Lasting all day, no smudges, no crumbling but mostly came off with only water. Now I have difficulties removing completely even with a removing balm.

Three questions, is this a tubing mascara that can be easily removed? Like super easily. Also does the primer if this mascara damage your lashes or make them potentially fall out? Lastly how will I know the mascara is properly removed if all you have to do is slide the mascara down and swipe it off from under your eye with your finger?

Backup Worthy Mascara (never discontinue this, L'Oreal)
My eyes are Emperor Palpatine level hooded and I have what can only be considered rosy chipmunk cheeks that get riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight up into my lower lashes. Needless to say, every stupid mascara I have ever worn gives me raccoon eyes. And then, my glorious human of an assistant told me about this mascara. I was so skeptical. I'd tried all the waterproof, smudge-proof, no budge mascaras from Wet 'n' Wild to Buxom and Tarte. I've purchased no fewer than 10 tubes since I discovered this mascara - not because it runs out quickly, but because I want everyone to have a tube and I'm also terribly paranoid that L'Oreal will discontinue this line (it's always on the bottom shelf at my Ulta and at other retailers....). Let me tell you why this mascara is my holy grail: 1) Truly smudge/budge-proof. It's tubing, and it's gorgeous. 2) The tube size is PERFECTION for making sure that I don't go past the 3-month replacement date. Yeah, it's a little smaller than other mascaras (because it's split between the primer and the mascara); however, that just means I'm no longer tossing 1/3 to 1/2 of a mascara tube because my sensitive little flowers of eyes will start watering/tearing... 3) My eyelashes. They are legitimately longer and thicker since I started using this. I'm not sure if it's the primer, the mascara formula, or because you literally just wet it with warm water and the tubes slide right off. Regardless. If I could make any changes, this is what I'd dream of: 1) Brown. Please, I NEEEEED this in brown. I'm in my late 40s and pasty white, so it'd be nice to have a softer eye look sometimes. I've tried some other tubing mascaras to get a brown shade, but haven't found a keeper. 2) Don't wear this if you're going to cry. Your tears are, in fact, the right temperature to soften the mascara and make your lashes clumpy. Sweat doesn't do this, but tears do.
Lasts All Day
This mascara makes my lashes look full and amazing AND it lasts all day. Never flakes or causes raccoon eyes and usually comes off super easily with water. (Sometimes it takes the water longer to soak into the mascara to make it easy to wipe. No idea why that is.) BUT I honestly hate the two-step process. If the primer starts to dry, the mascara clumps. So that means swiping my top lashes on one eye with primer, switching to mascara, coating again, switching back to primer, coating the other top lashes, switching back to mascara. Repeat for the bottom... If you want to simplify your makeup routine, try something else. If you want great lashes at a steal and don't care how long it takes, this mascara can't be beat.

Convenient
Having the primer and mascara in one tube is efficient. Sometime I use other mascara to make my lashes fuller and longer but this is just right for most occasions.
best mascara ever
i've repurchaed this several times, it works SO well! i've always been a big fan of tubing mascaras (the process of taking mascara off is usually so annoying, but it's fast and easy with tubing formulas) this mascara goes on so well, never leaves my lashes chunky, and doesn't flake off during the day. i do feel like the primer helps to add volume, but it does dry white so just be sure you cover all of your lashes really well with the mascara or the white may show still. hopefully they never retire this product!!
