Start by trimming nails into desired shape with the nail clipper. Starting at the corners and clipping toward the center.
Shape and smooth nail edges with nail files. Start from the side of the nail, and in one direction, file towards the center.
Use the coarser 180-grit surface to shape nails. Also great for sanding and filing acrylic nails. Use the finer 240-grit surface to smooth nail edges.
Tool Care: Clippers: Clean clipper blades after each use. Wipe clean with alcohol wipe or peroxide. Nail Files: Replace nail files after three months of regular use.

This set is adorable. The engraved dogs on the clippers and the pictures on each file are so cute! The clippers are not sharp all the way across though. They worked great when I cut my left hand finger nails but when I cut my right ones, that side of the clipper is not sharp enough to cut. It's stra...

This set is adorable. The engraved dogs on the clippers and the pictures on each file are so cute! The clippers are not sharp all the way across though. They worked great when I cut my left hand finger nails but when I cut my right ones, that side of the clipper is not sharp enough to cut. It's strange but essentially ineffective for me. My daughter was able to use them for herself though, and she is 8 with tiny finger and toenails. The files seem to be holding up well after a few uses and they have good grit. Overall this is a good enough nail set for a child but not so much for an adult. I did receive this free in exchange for my honest opinion.

This set is everything I have come to expect from the Tweezerman brand. The clippers make a nice, clean cut, and the files do exactly what they should. As an added bonus, they are super cute!
