Should I apply just in the dark spot or in the whole face? And should I rub it on my face? The serum has little granules not sure how to spread it? Thank you

Q
What is the difference between this and the tube one? The one written, 'discoloration correcting body treatment '
Asked by Maggie
Official Answer By Good Molecules - Brand Engage
Thank you for your question! The Discoloration Correcting Serum is meant specifically for the face and neck area, while the Discoloration Correcting Body Treatment is meant to be used on the body such are the knees, elbows, and other areas of concern. I hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
I have a dark ring around my neck. Will this help?
Asked by MayOrt
Official Answer By Good Molecules - Brand Engage
Great question! The Discoloration Correcting Serum is formulated to help improve the appearance of uneven skin tone, texture, and dullness on the face with time and continued use. The serum helps target skin discoloration and promotes a clear skin tone with time, so this may be helpful. However, you may prefer to look into the Discoloration Correcting Body Treatment instead, as it is specifically formulated for use on the chest, neck, arms, underarms, hands, back, legs, and feet. (We recommend avoiding the eye area and intimate areas.)Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can this be used to reduce dark elbow skin?
Asked by Shan
Official Answer By Good Molecules - Brand Engage
Thanks for reaching out! We've formulated this product to be specifically for the face and cannot speak to any other areas that you may attempt to use it with that is not on the face. A better option that may work significantly better would be the Good Molecules Discoloration Correcting Body Treatment. We hope that this information is helpful. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can this be applied on hair like eye brows and beards, or will it lighten those hairs and should not be applied on facial hair?
Asked by Aqma
Official Answer By Good Molecules - Brand Engage
Great question! Our Discoloration Correcting Serum can be utilized on the entire face and is not an issue if applied over eyebrow hairs, mustaches, or beards. The product is intended to treat and help fade dark spots and hyperpigmentation overtime. The serum contains tranexamic acid & niacinamide and does not include any sort of bleaching or lightning agents. Was this answer helpful to you

Keeps my melasma in check without irritation

Thrilled to see Good Molecules at Ulta! I first purchased the *Discoloration Correcting Serum* last year as part of a trio (which included the *Niacinamide Toner* and *Daily Brightening Serum*) to combat melasma as well as hyperpigmentation left by acne rosacea and eczema flares. I'd run out of a pr...

not for sensitive skin

After a lot of trial and error and money spent on quality skincare, I had finally gotten my sensitive skin to a point where it was staying soft, smooth, and relatively hydrated, and I was very pleased. I do have some melasma from intense sun exposure in the past, and it is the one skincare problem I...

I used this serum consistently for 3 months and finished the bottle. Did not fade any of my scars/hyperpigmentation, new and old. Do not recommend!

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Not the reaction & results I remember 🙁

Years ago I worked for the beauty company that created this brand Good Molecules & I used the discoloration serum way back when it was first launched - absolutely loved it then. I recently used it again after a hiatus & it broke me out so bad I had to cease using it, I couldn't even get through 1/2 of the bottle. Not sure what's changed, but the reaction I experienced with continued use isn't ideal when you're trying to attain clear skin. By all means, please do multiple patch tests over a number of days before applying to your face. Using this has set my skin back & now I'm back at square one using Rx skincare to treat the breakout & subsequent discoloration.
