My daughter gave me the custom palette with all matte shadows. I have been searching, most palettes include to many sparkly shades which are not flattering on mature skin. I love this shadow, nice velvet texture, rich color, lasts all day, very little creasing. My only complaint is not enough light colors, especially no matte ivory that would have made this palette perfect.
I was really excited to try these shadows and not necessarily need to apply a primer first. I purchased/created my own palette (one star for that) after swatching numerous colors on my hand in the store. The colors swatched beautifully (a second star for that). I purchased 24KT Stilettos, Glitz Factor, Wild Nights, No Faux, Cool Caviar, and Star Treatment. The shadows were easy to clip into the palette case, which is very nice by the way. I didn't care for the brush, which is typical for me with brushes that come with palettes. I found the colors lacked pigmentation when used on their own, which defeated the purpose of buying primer-infused shadows. Even with using primer (Urban Decay Original Primer Potion) I had to pack the shadow on. It took me 10 minutes, yes 10 minutes, to do a very simple look using only two colors. The look was pretty but it took too much time. I returned the shadows and palette the next day for several reasons: 1) shadows are primer-infused and don't show up with using a primer, 2) color has to be packed on and it takes too much time and, 3) there was too much fallout for my liking. If you're into natural looks these shadows may work for you. If you like having color on your lids, these shadows will likely not work for you.

Once you have the buxom case you can refill with any of their shades!

I use Urban Decay eyeshadow primer with these and the colors are true & long lasting.

I've tried them all and these are some of the best on the market. Mink magnet and Lingerie lover are standouts. Creamy, pigmented, blendable... the BEST.

Put it and and took it off. Not suitable in my field of work.

this review is for backstage pass, gimme gorgeous, Jetsetter, cool caviar, no faux, and diamond darling. I love the saturation in Backstage Pass & Cool Caviar. Jetsetter, Gimme Gorgeous, and Diamond Darling are all super wearable (they are great for that "no makeup makeup" look). No Faux was a little disappointing, as the duo chrome is not really visible and the color is a bit patchy.

I love the idea but now have a palette I probably won't reuse because I hate these shadows. No pigment or longevity at all. I I did multiple layers with almost no color payoff. What a waste of money.

I bought these because I absolutely love the idea of creating my own palette. Beautiful shades, although nothing like the pictures, plus the fallout on these is INSANE. Shimmer or matte, there's always fallout. Plus they don't last all day. I use a MAC paint pot as my base and it helps a bit but they still fade within a few hours. Save your money

As someone who hates all the plastic waste from pre-made eyeshadow palettes as well as dissapointment over the colors I never use/don't flatter me, I love that I can choose my own colors here, rebuy my favorites and try new ones. Better for me and the environment! Please don't discontinue this product! Love it!

Buxom is owned by Shiseido, which also owns BareMinerals and Nars. They are three separate companies. These eyeshadows are ok. Buxom isn't very good at making eyeshadows.

I bought a palette with these shadows already in it. They are not pigmented even when I try to pack it on. They have no staying power. I'm not sure what I'll do with the reusable palette once I use the shadows up...don't think I'd repurchase even though I love the concept.

I bought two colors that match exactly to the ones I've used up in my urban decay naked 3 pallet. I can't believe it! They are exactly the SAME shade!!! If urban decay would sell these individualy, i would buy them from them. I use almost every color in the naked 3 pallet…but as we all do it..i use three more often than the others. I started looking around..and BAM!! These two colors I'm most out of are PERFECT from Smashbox.

I prefer KKW, urban decay and Kylie eyeshadows much better. Perfect for lightweight eyeshadow lovers

I've gone through 3 mink magnet shades. It is the perfect one and done shadow and gives such dimension on my eyelids that it looks like I have 2 or 3 different shadows on my lids. I use a primer. I always do because I have oily eyelids. I get the bestttt payoff and application when I use one of those old school sponge tip applicators that beauty gurus are super snobby and condescending about. But it works like a charm. Goes on perfectly, blends like a dream, and stays all day. Great price for a high quality shadow!

I want to love the shadows I purchased but unfortunately I am not impressed. I've been trying to use them for a few months but I always end up using a different eyeshadow brand because these are not pigmented at all! I have to build the color and it takes forever to make it look like the color in the palette. They are pretty colors, it just feels like a cheap eyeshadow.

Upper eye lids. It is the perfect shade of soft brown, goes-on smoothly without creasing and does not unabashedly dance-around my eye lids, settling and squatting out-of bounds. Love it! Love all the Buxom shades in my color palette box.

Even when using a primer, these shades DON'T last. I'm used to doing my eyes in the morning & they last through the evening. (I usually use Smashbox.) I purchased these because I wanted to customize the colors. Oh well.

(Shades purchased: no faux, la la lavish, room service, mink magnet, invite only, and filthy rich) no faux and la la lavish are INCREDIBLE. the shift to both of them is so gorgeous on the lid and rivals some of my single shadows from indie brands. no faux is THE perfect lid shade for a grungy smokey eye. room service is a beautiful inner corner highlight, especially combined with no faux. mink magnet, as well, has an incredibly pigmented formula. however I felt like the mattes underperformed given the price but considering just how GOOD the iridescent formula is, I can excuse it. If nothing else, no faux and la la lavish are absolutely worth your time.

This is the first eye shadow that started fading within the hour. Totally gone by third hour. Absolutely terrible and a huge waste of money.

I purchased this brand because of the refillable case that allows you to choose only the desired shades. My usual IT brand shadows stay withOUT utilizing a primer. Not certain this brand has 'staying power' even with the extra expense and time of using a primer. I understand this brand is under the umbrella of Bare Minerals. Extremely disappointed and consider this product a waste of money (so sad). There are better choices.

I use a dark color line just above my lashes and blend with a lite color. This works great.

This eye shadow is a neutral beige which you can wear every day, along or layered with other shadows. It is a matte shade but it is silky and light - not chalky. Comes as an individual unit which can be placed into a palette device. You can create your own palette which is nice because you can choose shades you would actually use !

The picture to this does not even come close to representing the actual color. This is actually about four shades darker and will not look good on my pale skin. Guess I'll give it away.

Using as my base. Bought a single to try it but quickly ordered a 6 shadow pallet. I am super picky about eyeshadow, hate went it just crumbles and turns to dust in the pan. Goes on great and wears all day.
