Living Proof Curl Definer

I will not lie, when putting the living proof curl definer in my hand for the first time, I was like "oh great, I'm totally going to regret using this. Especially, the limited amount of time that I had to get ready. I have natural, thick, wavy hair. That frizzes like a mother, when there is even a drop of humility in the air. You should see the collection of hair products that I have bought over the years. Had I not gotten this as a free gift, I don't think I would have gone out of my way to educate myself on the product, let alone purchase it. One night, I decided to use this as my styling product. I remember how heavy it was. Sticky, wouldn't be a word to describe it, just this heaviness, which made distribution of the product, somewhat difficult. I used the velvet straight curlers, then covered my head with my velvet cap, and then went to bed. I hoped for the best, because I didn't have time to do anything else with my hair, as I was pressed for time. I was pleasantly surprised by how good and how healthy my hair looked. It had some hold, but was easily workable. my curls looked so healthy and soft. My hair also looked full and healthy. Despite the 90°F weather, and 90% humidity. I was impressed at how well my hair held up to the challenge. The first people I saw that day, complemented on how good, not only my hair looked, but the curls, and having no frizz. (An ongoing problem I often struggle with, despite the high end products that I have tried in the past). The compliment s continued coming. Living Proof is a must have for anyone with wavy, curly, coily hair. It is now, a definite favorite of mine. I can't wait to learn about the other products. I hope that my review steers people in the "living proof" direction. They will not be disappointed.

I really love this product. It is a cream and knowledge gel so it doesn't leave your hair, crunchy like other products. I have wavy hair, not quite curly and it does a good job for bringing out the curls. It is definitely a little sticky and hard to work with and still leaves my hair a little frizzy, but it is the closest I've come to finding a good product from my waves. Also, it smells pretty great! My only major issue is that actual bottle. It has a spring pump dispenser. The last 3 bottles I have received the pump has popped off. It is impossible to get back on and you cannot even open the bottle so you're kind of out of luck if this happens. I literally had to break the bottle open. I will usually deal with a bad dispenser, even for a good product, but this is becoming a real issue. I hope they fix it soon.

My hair is soft, freeze free and bouncy, no stickiness or heaviness, love this product.

I've had curly hair my whole life, and being I'm the only female in the family with it, it was hard to maintain. I just started purchasing this curl definer a little over a year now and I will use nothing else! I've tried it with and without other products and here's some tips. First off read the directions. It says apply to wet hair not damp! It gets sticky and weird if you don't! First few uses I didn't apply to wet hair and I almost returned it. Second, I find it doesn't hydrate as much as I need with my curls so I pair it with a moisturizer. I apply the moisturizer first and this second and it works perfectly! I get my perfect curls for my hair and ITS NOT CRUNCHY AT ALL! to apply I just flip my head over (I have long hair) and apply about 3 pumps worth each to each side and down the middle. I've tried different amounts and honestly never gotten too much to where it's crunchy. I don't comb it through I just put the product in my hand, rub my hands together, then press my hands together with the hair in between. Then I dry with a microfiber towel and diffuse. About the only product ever to work on my hair. Seriously give this an honest try and you won't regret!
