I just finished using my first bottle of Core Strength Shampoo and ordered my second one a few days ago. I ordered my first 12 oz bottle in December 2021 and had to reorder last week, in the first week of March 2022. I wash my hair 2-3 times a week, avoiding the ends of my hair and just washing th...

CurlSmith Strength

Hair Type Very Curly Hair

I use almost all of the CurlSmith products and this is one I needed for added protein and to strengthen my hair. I do like this shampoo and you must massage aggressively to apply it and I always start from the back of my head and work towards the front making sure I have lots of water in my hair and not a lot of product is needed, it goes a long way if you know how to use it. I do have hair loss however if it's a season change in weather or your taking medication of any kind it will cause fall out as well as taking supplements can cause hair loss and let's be clear the crap they are spraying in our sky's is causing environmental damage to our hair and skin to say the least, so I can't say it's from a product I'm using and so far it's no different than when I use other products. So I recommend CurlSmith for people with very curly hair that want a trusted brand that may be expensive but you get your money's worth if you know how to use it sparingly.

New go to shampoo

Im on my second bottle of this shampoo and I love it! I started using it about a month ago and have fallen in love, it lathers really well without stripping my hair and making it feel like straw. Great of for build up and cleaning my scalp. The protein in this product doesnt bother my hair as my hair loves protein, my hair feels stronger and is so easy to manage after a month of using it. I wash my hair once a week and deep condition after. My wash days are so easy. A little about my hair: 3c/4a, high porosity, high density fine strands and i usually use thick curl creams to style or mousses.

All I can say about this product is it has saved and healed my hair. 9 months ago I discovered Curlsmith snd took their quiz on the website. It recommended CoreStrength shampoo and Essential moisture conditioner. I was a little worried to completely change my hair routine but since my curls were so damaged I decided to give it a try. After 9 months and just now about to replace my first bottles I'm writing my review. This shampoo is so gentle on my dry hair but really gives me a deep clean. I don't have flaky dry patches on my scalp anymore, my hair started growing stronger and it hasn't faded my colored hair. Just all around highly recommend for anyone with dry brittle hair even if you're not curly.

My Flabber has been Gasted

I finally did some research on my hair type and landed on 2A which lead me to trying new products for curly hair (first time ever, always thought i was straight). I used this with the multi purpose conditioner and my hair is already significantly more wavy and less frizzy after 1 use. It smells great. I always shampoo twice so I agree it does not sud well the first time but it was fine the second time. I would recommend if youre in the market for experimenting at a reasonable price.

I have dry, high-porosity hair. Wavy curly combination and thick but fine. This one was recommended to me and I've been using it in conjunction with the conditioning co-wash. It does a really good job of removing gel, grease, chlorine etc but I haven't seen many more benefits beyond this personally. The smell is gorgeous and I wish I could access more of the products using it! My hair can be a bit frizzy after styling and conditioning which may be my hair or the shampoo - unsure. Might be better for a different hair type.
