This color is GORGEOUS!!!
The packaging holding the tube of lipstick had all the product, brand, ingredient list, and color on the box. It was easy to read. The tube itself is a gorgeous gold. It has such an elegant look to it compared to the grocery store tubes. The tube itself even has a little notch, so it will only go on...

Scented, satin lipstick (shade 177)
I'm not a big fan of traditional satin lipstick, I prefer liquid matte lipstick because of the staying power. This lipstick has a unique shaped, slightly curved on the sides making it easier to apply less product & get all the color you want. The lipstick is scented, smells like rose/rose hip oil. I...

The Nu is my Go To!

Nu Impertinent has become my new go-to. It's the perfect pinky nude and really complements my golden skin tone. I now want to try a couple of different shades from this collection.
A total miss
I usually have good luck with L'Oreal lip products, so I was surprised by how disappointed I was with this one. I purchased Nu Excessif, which on my fair was straight up orange. Not flattering. The formula is thin, and yet somehow looks cakey and settles horribly into lip lines that I didn't even know I had. It's patchy, doesn't last long, and bunches up in the corners of my mouth after talking and/or eating. And the scent. Who thought it was a good idea to put a nauseating old-lady rose scent in a lipstick? I feel like a lipstick, because it will inevitably get in my mouth, should smell/taste like something I would want to eat rather than the hand soap that's been in my grandma's bathroom for a decade.
serviceable... pretty colors, strong smell, a little patchy

The best thing about these lipsticks is the color range. I have Determine, Excessif, Intense, Irreverent. For my extremely warm/golden undertones and medium skin tone, Determine is the most natural-looking nude, and my favorite. Intense can also pass for a nude, but it's noticeably pink on me (although it's described as warm, I am very golden and it still reads slightly too cool/neutral on me to look natural). Excessif on me is like a bright coral and Intense is almost red; I wouldn't consider either of them nudes for me. Compared to other lipsticks of this type and finish, they're really not bad. But they're also not great. They go on easy, and aren't dry, but also don't feel moisturizing either, like they're just a layer on the surface of your lip. I find they also dry out semi-quickly. They do have a strong rosy scent, which I can deal with, although I would prefer if they did not have that scent. My biggest gripe is that they go on a little patchy-- they are thin (they don't mask lip texture or fill in lines at all) and not opaque enough to cover my natural lip color, so I have to use a lip liner and layer this lipstick on, or just wear it blotted so it's more of a tint. But at that point, I have tinted balms I like better and that provide hydration.
My Go-To Nude Lip! Trust me! Looks better on!

L'Oreal Fairest Nude has been my go to lip colorfor years now. I use a dark stone liner, fill in with the shade and blot. Add a little neutral gloss to the top and bottom center of lips. Pack 👄 once or twice. Perfection!
