- Q
Can I dye my partially blonde bleached hair darker to match my root with this?
- Asked by Stephy
- Official Answer By Madison Reed - SyndicationWe’d love to help you with this hair color journey. This will be a two-step coloring process to gorgeous results. When going lighter in color, tone and pigment are removed from the hair. In order to go darker, those tones and pigments need to be reintroduced back into the hair in order for maximum tonal result and color longevity. We suggest you add warmth back into your hair with our Amaretto Gloss. For the application, we'd recommend applying this gloss first over the previous lighter sections. Let the Gloss process for 25 minutes. After that, rinse and shampoo the gloss out. Once your hair is dry, you can apply the the new color. Was this answer helpful to you

- Asked by LilythEvey

I have medium dark ash brown hair with gray hair around my temples and top. Bought 5.5NNN and ended up with very light coppery brown. How can I achieve the dark ash brown color with having this copper as a base? TIA
- Asked by Mackinacfleurs
- Official Answer By Madison Reed - SyndicationHello, we are so sorry to hear that your results were warmer than expected. The Modena Brown (5.5NNN) is formulated with warmer under tones. We can recommend using the Dosolo Brown (formulated with neutral tones) instead, processing for a full 45min, using a heavy saturation, over the new growth and root area only. Another option is our Torino Dark Brown (formulated with ash tones), using the same application process. Was this answer helpful to you

I have fine, straight hair and color the roots every 4-5 weeks with your hair color (I'm still figuring out the correct brown shade I like), mostly in the light browns. As it grows out, my hair looks light blonde and is beautiful. I'd like to enhance this light brown/blonde when I color my hair. Is there a certain gloss that would do that?
- Asked by Lynn
- Official Answer By Madison Reed - SyndicationHello, If you prefer less warmth in your results, we can recommend using the Veneto light brown (ash tones), processing for 45min over the new growth/roots only, and then using our Crema gloss over the mid-ends. Glosses are temporary semi-permanent color, used to refresh tones over existing color-treated hair. Was this answer helpful to you

I have natural dark/black hair and have greys throughout. My grays look like thin white highlights all over. I would like to hide the grays a tad, maybe make them caramel. Not sure if this will help me transition as I am trying to grow my grays out 'gracefully.' I don't want to do a permanent color. What color or product do you recommend?
- Asked by Panarica
- Official Answer By Madison Reed - SyndicationHello! This unfortunately will not help with this, on non-color treated hair it will have little effect, if any.Was this answer helpful to you

Worked out great!
After originally dyeing my hair Bolzano Brown and it being way too red, I tried the Espresso gloss to tone down the red. Worked out great. Took a lot of the red out and made my hair a nice dark brown. Thank you Madison Reed!

horrible results
I tried the clear glossa because my sister raved about it; also I loved my results with the Bologna Blonde color. Unfortunately, the glossa destroyed my hair, it's now broken and dried out. Removed any natural shine I had. It also lightened the color by at least two shades. Wish I'd never tried this...

Obsessed!

As I get older I just can't sit at the salon for hours anymore. My back and neck just can't take it. Not to mention the prices. I decided to try the amaretto color gloss and I could not be happier. The application was a breeze. It came right off my counter when I splattered it. I was able to do housework while I processed. And my hair looks and feels incredible. Not only will I save time, I'm going to save so much money. Please never discontinue this product or color!!

I DO NOT write reviews but after making the tough decision to go from salon blonde to at-home blonde, failing at my first color attempt, and then trying a Madison Reed color that ended with hot roots and green ends, this changed....EVERYTHING!!! My color is a beautiful dark blonde! Thank you Madison Reed!
