For maximum odor protection, follow the takesumi detox two-step method:
STEP 1: the underarm bar
Lather bar and massage into each underarm in a circular motion for 30 seconds. If you have body hair, ensure the lather reaches the surface of the skin.
STEP 2: the charcoal deodorant
Follow with a generous application of charcoal deodorant.
If you are switching from antiperspirant to natural deodorant, there will be a transition period (see The Stages of Detox).
Discontinue use if irritation develops or persists. Do not use on broken skin. Do not use immediately after shaving.

I was first introduced to this system from a Youtuber that I follow (RhianHY). I've always wanted to switch over to a more natural system of deodorant as I have psoriasis in my armpits. Between the daily use of the soap every morning, the deodorant and sometimes the powder, I really feel clean and dry. Do you start to smell funky after a few weeks of using this? Yes. We've all been warned of the process by Madam Sweat on the Kaia Naturals Instagram/TikTok. But keep pushing, your body does eventually adjust to it. I am in school for massage therapy and really need to make sure I'm always smelling clean. These products have really been a big help for me!!! 10/10 highly recommend to those who can be patient enough for the funky fresh hurdle you've gotta jump to reach the other side!!!!
Good for the first month
I used this detox and deodorant as the instructions told me to. It work perfectly for the first 4 weeks but after that the smell came back. At was in love with it but sad that the smell came back after the 4 weeks :( wont be buying this product again.

this is my first time going for the full size natural deodorant after purchasing the starter kit that came with the bar. This has helped a lot controlling sweat, smell and no white streaks left on clothing. Honestly for me its lasted a good while for its price
Worth trying once, but not twice.
I'm glad I tried it as part of a detox. I suggest wearing this deodorant on days you stay home or at night. Have a backup for going out. If you wear it to the eye doctor, you may get a whiff of yourself as they switch from slides 1 to 2. It doesn't work perfectly. You will enjoy having it once. But once you use it up, you won't repurchase it.
