I recently bought the acne facial cleanser and almond & honey face scrub- I also got a free gift with the aloe cucumber and green tea facial spray and botanical exfoliating scrub. I love them all I have noticed a huge difference with my acne and redness, but I am having an issue. I have combination skin and typically exfoliators dry my skin out so I was expecting that but the acne facial cleanser also seems to be drying my skin out a lot and the facial spray is not helping- my skin, especially around my nose, is dry to a painful point, which is not normal for me. I have read reviews for some one the moisturizers and am a little skeptical of the Kera moisturizer, the honey moisturizer, and the aloe moisturizer. I'm wondering which moisturizer or facial lotion you would suggest for the issue I'm having.
- Asked by Destiny
- Official Answer By Mario BadescuThanks for your question. We would advise against using a facial scrub if you have active acne. You can follow the Acne Facial Cleanser with our Seaweed Cleansing Lotion as your toner. You can also use our Aloe Moisturizer SPF 15 for day and Seaweed Night Cream overnight. Will this product help with what I assume is Milia? Small white bumps under the skin that never surface.....can only be seen if I stretch the skin around my mouth, or occasionally on cheeks. They are not regular pimples, but not cystic acne (which I also get), as they do not hurt a bit. Just built up Keratin I believe. I can use an extraction tool and the (TMI WARNING SORRY) white stringy stuff will come out, sometimes a tad stinky too! While being barely noticeable, I of course notice them, and I'm sure they do change the texture look of my skin. I've been known to go crazy trying to extract all of them, which leads me to a morning of "what did I do to myself"! If I don't extract them they don't seem to change, nor do they seem to ever go away. Please tell me this product will help....or tell me what will!! Sorry for the novel!
- Asked by Chelle
- Official Answer By Mario BadescuThanks for your question. Our line does not carry products for milia. Please speak with your doctor or dermatologist for proper removal and treatment. Was this answer helpful to you

This is a lifesaver!!
I almost never review products because usually the results I get are just okay. This product, however, has been a true life saver...or should I say, face saver. I'm 40 and have been dealing with hormonal acne ranging from mild to severe, since my early thirties. A year and a half ago, when my acn...

Original Formula Has Been Changed
This formulation has changed. I used the Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion for years with great success, but the company recently changed the ingredients unknowingly to me at the time and the new ingredients caused my sensitive skin to become dry, red and irritated. This once great product contained wo...

Worth the Pain
Age 30-44
Skin Type Combination
You have to give this product a couple of days to work on cystic acne. On day 1, I applied this to a cyst that I had already been messing with. The skin was broken, so it hurt a lot and dried me out like crazy. Very glad I used it at night. At the start of day 2, the cyst was pretty scabbed over. Not pretty. But by the end of day 2, after I showered, the cyst was *completely* gone. TLDR, if you can suffer through it, this product is worth the pain.
Works like magic!
I found this almost 10 years ago…not to age myself! But I wish I had found it sooner. It has been my holy grail! A little goes a long way and even though you get a small amojnt, it'll last you a long time too. Anytime I feel a pimple coming on I put a drop or two on it. Also I do pick at my face occasionally and after I do, I apply a few drops and in the morning I have no bumps or redness. I use it almost daily and I can't recommend it enough!
The Best cystic acne treatment
I have been using this on and off for ten years, it's the only thing that I've found that actually reduces inflammation/redness/tenderness.. and a lot of times the spot itself will go away without coming to the surface as to not scar. I don't have serious cystic acne anymore, but get small pimples every now and then.. and this works great for those too. I never travel without it. I make sure my face is clean and dry when applying, no moisturizer. Only apply where you need and let it sit and dry before applying anything on top. This helps it work much faster. Be consistent and gentle, let it heal on its own. Sometimes towards the end, after using this for 7+ days the skin will get flakey and dry. Obviously if you have stubborn cystic acne you should probably see a dermatologist, don't wait and risk scarring your face. This is great but won't stop whatever is causing it.
Works for me!
This is my go-to product when I start getting under surface bumps. I'd recommend. I've always got this on hand to use when I feel the pain and inflammation start. It seems to dissipate the bump quicker. I keep applying until it's under control.
Nothing Special: Main Ingredient is Isopropyl Alcohol
Okay I love Mario Badescu products but this product hasn't really done anything special. I noticed the main ingredient is isopropyl alcohol so it's essentially like using alcohol on a cotton pad to dry out pimples. People have said this product used to be great but then the ingredients were changed, so that could be why these reviews are so praising. I used it on under the skin pimples and cystic acne and it really didn't do anything :/
