I have it and I don't know if it's supposed to be like a hairspray because I know it is this exact one but in a bigger bottle. When I spray it it makes my hair like really crunchy. Is it supposed to do that.

Is this a product that will make my hair not as soft so that I CAN curl it with flat iron? It's so soft I can't use my flat iron. TIA
- Asked by Volzgirl
- Official Answer By CHI - Brand EngageHello it does help add a bit of grit on the hair to help set the style on the hair but not much. My recommendation would be to also use out Infra texture dual action hairspray at the end of styling your hair. this is a great finisher product. Was this answer helpful to you

Please don't stop making this!
I've been using Chi Iron Guard heat protectant for years on damp hair before my blow out, with Infra Texture as a finishing spray. I saw this at Ulta the other and decided to give it a try. For reference, my hair is thick, but very very fine and straight. It is cut in a chin length bob. I use...

I had high expectations ...
I had high hopes for this heat protection spray, as I've used other Chi products and loved them. The first few times I used this, I was super happy because it smelled *amazing* and made my hair shiny. But, over the next few uses, I noticed my hair was going from silky (right out of bed - tangle free...

Horrible
Hair Type Wavy Hair
This stuff is terrible. It literally does the opposite of protect my hair from heat. I have very thick, fairly healthy hair and after applying this product to dry hair and running my flat iron over my hair, the ends literally fried. This product leaves a sticky, waxy residue. My flat iron is at 375 degrees, I have tried it on wet and dry hair. Do not recommend. I gave it a chance and I fear I have passed the return period. What a waste of money.
good!!!
i love the smell
Greasy mess
When i tell you i barely put anything on my hair and it STILL made my hair greasy. Used on both damp and dry (which on the bottle's instructions it says you can use on either) and on damp hair it wasnt as bad but still weighing my hair down. when i used it as protectant on dry hair to straighten my hair, it was beyond greasy. And for the price this just aint it

Hair Type Wavy Hair
I used to use this brand a decade ago, and I wish I'd come back to it sooner. It does make my hair a bit sticky feeling, but it LOOKS silky and seems to do a great job preventing frizz and damage. I didn't use hairspray after, and my hair is still not frizzy despite it being in the upper 90s and humid/raining. I used this after using the all soft line of shampoo/conditioner/leave in, and it seems like the perfect combo.
Not my favorite but giving it a chance
Hair Type Wavy Hair
I tried first with dry hair and it made my hair feel very tacky/sticky after it dried. Will be giving it another try with damp hair..
