Most Helpful Positive Review This works OVER your makeup, not under I've read the mixed reviews but the problem is that people are putting make up over it and that dissolves the firming gel. Apply foundation as normal. Hopefully you're not using an "oily formula" which is drying. This will not apply nicely. Your foundation needs to be soft and manageable. I use Loreal Lumi and Visible Lift in combination. I find this product works well with them. You can add a bit of hypo-allergenic moisturizer, dab a very small amount and apply a little more foundation(you don't need to use a light colored concealer, this will lighten under the eyes too). After you're done with your foundation on your entire face, put a small dab on your finger smoothing it out it out staying under the eyes the best you can. After it sits for a few minutes it will tighten and thats it. Don't try rubbing your eye any longer. You cannot touch this up. You really only get one chance. I will tell you that this went on better during the spring and summer. I'm finding that that being in the indoor heating will dry your skin and the only way around that is to concentrate on moisturizing regimen. This stuff WORKS. But I really cannot believe the directions say to put it UNDER your makeup! Unreal. Careful applying hair spray because if one drop hits your under eye area or wherever you put it, the droplet will dissolve the gel. Nothing lifts your skin like this product except for an eye lift surgery. When you put your blush on you may find it reveals the gel. Just take your cleaned off blush brush ( a puffy one), squeeze it tight and 'buff' off the noticeable edge. This product is about as good as it gets. Similar results can be found w/egg whites! But egg whites crack! Put this product OVER your makeup and you'll like it much better.
Most Helpful Critical Review It worked.... But ..... I was so excited to get this product. However, the magic undoes itself if you add anything on top of it. Moisturizer, eye cream, foundation, concealer, it brings the puffiness all back. I gave it 3 stars because it DOES work... But ... I wear makeup so its its not for a girl who loves her coverup. Bummer :( I've been playing with it and reading reviews and this is a common complaint. I do have the amount down to wear it won't leave the white residue, but it's just not powerful enough to withstand anything over it. I will be returning it. So if your a gal with bags, and don't wear foundation... This is definitely for you! Otherwise, don't waste your money.

Other products will scam you but let me tell you, this stuff works fast! I'm a young adult who was born with natural fat under my eyes and I saw a quick difference as soon as I applied this cream under my eyes. It's worth it being this cheap since other ones scam you into buying a few hundred dollars into one product. A little truly does go a long way with this product. You won't regret your purchase!!

Excellent product!
Best under eye tightened! 5
Katie from Canton ohio
This product takes a little practice in getting it right but when you learn how to apply it, it works and lasts until you take it off. It must be applied over your makeup. I use Nars under eye concealer and this works perfectly over it. The key is finding the right amount to put on. If you use too much you will get the white film. Patience in practicing will result in a beautiful application that takes years off the under eye! I've tried the other brands and PTR makes the best!
I feel in love with this product 5

Not for dark skin African Americans..at all!!! 1
Cindy from Schaumburg
I REALLY wanted to like this but just like plexiderm this product is NOT African American friendly. I used a pea size amount, smaller than a pea, a brush, my finger. Nothing work. Each application all I got was a black eye. I will definitely be returning. I really had high hopes when I felt the puffiness disappear but unfortunately this was the result. Can some PLEASE invent this same product darker skin friendly. This sucks!! I tried under makeup.. it cakes up bad with this, over makeup... it cakes up worse. I literally felt like I was doing surgery just to get a flawless look. But in the end it was everything but flawless. The puffiness comes back and you find yourself putting even more concealer and foundation. Not to mention I'm now covering a dark area I never had under my eyes. Sad.
I would not buy this product again. 1

Tried using over foundation and it was a mess. Instructions say to use on dry face. I am not willing to give up foundation with SPF, eye serum or eye cream for the tightness. I guess if you like the no makeup look it would be a good product. I really wanted to like this product.
The bags are gone! 4

If I try to put foundation on after it dries, the bags come right back.

I used this one and it made my eyes red and puffy the day after and then gave me huge creases under my eyes.

I tried every thing i read on line to sidestep the white residue..it would either not tighten or later residue still showed thru. Too much work, but i was so excited to try it.

Love this product. Easy instructions and do follow them for best use. Does as promised. Not a permanent solution but great for a quick fix.

I have been using this product for years. It's not a permanent fix, but I use it every day.
Mediocre results 3

I bought the product to help me with my bags under my eyes. The product tightens your skin, but didn't give me an amazing result. If you apply a little too much, it leaves a white coat on your skin. There are some other products out there that do the same thing and are less expensive.
Disappointed and so wanted to like 1

I am with all the people that are giving it bad reviews. First application I could see a little difference and thought finally a great product worth the money. I used it a second time it BURNED my skin and made my under eyes look awful. So bummed. They are now dried and very visible and look terrible.

I have tried this product twice now. I even followed all the application tips and it still leaves a crusty white residue under my eyes. I will be returning this.

I have been using for a few years 5

I have been using for about 4 years, there are rules to follow which took awhile, trial and errors. You can mix with a eye cream and use that way but to get the maximum results make sure it is the last thing you put on under your eyes. It takes very little or else it will flake. you will feel a tightness but I am assuming this is the effect you want. It lasts all day for me and I have no bags under my eyes. I will continue to use it. I am 64 years old and have a twice daily skin regimen. Moisturize, foundation, finishing powder, finishing spray, eye makeup then the eye creme very last. It works for me.

I wanted to like this product, but it left a burn under my eye on the first use. I thought perhaps I just used too much. I tried again a month later and it still irrated (not as bad) the skin under the eyes. It does not provide as much tightening as other products used.

Amazing.... 5

This is a great addition to your morning routine if you experience underage puffiness or bags. It almost instantly firms up the under eye area. It doesn't really "correct" them, but gives a great boost for those of us with genetic puffiness that's not going anywhere. I highly recommend!
I will buy this product again 4

Use for special occasions or when you are tired and puffy, before purchase learn hands on from a professional.
This works just like it says. Love it! 5

I am 50 and have started having droopy eyelids. This does tighten and lift them. It works best on a clean face. Let dry and add any makeup on top of it. I can feel and see it work.
Life Changing 5
Meg from New Jersey
This is an absolute MIRACLE. I just turned 40 and have very pronounced hereditary under-eye bags and I cannot tell you how life-changing this product is for me. I have not looked like this since I was 21.
This product really does eliminate my undereye bags by about 95%. And mine are really bad.
I apply moisturizer and eye make up, then use a make-up removing wipe to clean my undereye area. Once dry I shake well (v. important!) and apply the product with a small square paintbrush in a V-shape under my eye and feather out the edges. I also put a swipe or two under and over the outside of my brows to life my upper eyelid a bit. It goes on smoothly, is not sticky, but for me, it burns momentarily. No redness or swelling, just strong tingling for a few seconds. Then I go make coffee and wait for it to set. After 5-7 min I can usually tell if I need a little more or if I missed a spot because of how tight it feels. You can feel it tightening and it feels tight all day long-- a good indicator of if it's still holding. Once totally dry I take a makeup brush and carefully dust over any dark circles with mineral powder. The product also is a bit shiny- almost like a dried egg white. But it's not that bad and powder helps. You can definitely feel a bit of the residue if you touch it, but also not bad, and I haven't had a problem with the 'white residue' that some people complain about. When I smile I still do have a few wrinkles under my eyes but they are so minute compared to my normal condition that I am 100% ok with them. There is some conflicting info about if you can put makeup over/under the product. In my experience anything wet breaks down the product. I only dare to put mineral powder on top. This also means no moisturizer underneath so I double down on my nightly undereye moisturizer. / treatment. A winning combo is the Peter Thomas Roth 24k Gold undereye patches (I wear them overnight) and then this. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
