Most Helpful Positive Review was skeptical but love it!
tried numerous micellar water cleansers but was not thrilled with any of them. I actually bought this for someone else but got so curious I decided I had to try it. Needless to say they got a bottle but I kept this one! It worked Great! Removed everything from my face and actually left it feeling hydrated! Probably won't use it everyday, I have my Kopari coconut oil cleanser and my Kate summerville cleansers, but this is great for those nights (or mornings) when I'm feeling lazy and force myself to clean my face. I've actually found myself reaching for this cleanser more than my others lately! Never thought that would happen. So try it even if you've tried other micellar waters and felt let down. Highly recommend! And the price- wow!

I use their facial cleanser and pm moisturizer. I tried this only because it was a freebie with the am moisturizer. 4 Days later my face is still swollen and red. I look as tho I aged 10 years. I have bags under my eyes. My vision was blurred my eyes were swollen almost shut. I was on vacation and could not go outside because the air would hurt my face HORRIBLE PRODUCT and should be removed from the shelves

I have used this for years. I try other products but come back every time. I use this as a toner. I put in a fine mist spritz bottle and it is so easy to use.
Love the old formula...
KariH from Chicago
Please please bring back the old formula. I noticed the difference right away. The new formula has a much stronger smell, it's sort of drying, and actually foams up when applying. I'll use until I find a better product, but will switch once I do.
New formula sucks
Mamallama from Texas
I loved the old formula. This new one bubbles and foams a lot in the pads I use to clean my face. When removing eye makeup, it burns. I have to use a lot to remove my makeup where as the old one I didn't have to use that much. I just switched to the granite all-in-1 and so far I like it a LOT better.
Honest review 👍🏽

So I don't use this as a make-up remover Per se, I do use it as a first cleanser. I pat it on my face and let it sit for about a minute and then rinse it off. Then I use my cleanser I do like to wash my face twice and I think this works really well as that first cleanser to break up dirt/makeup etc. it does have a great hydrating feeling I've never left it on my face without rinsing it off due to the fact that I already have my routine with moisturizers and serums As for makeup remover I use grape seed oil to remove eye makeup and I wish other people would try that cause it's way better then coconut oil. Hope this helps

Love using this as a toner after the hydration cleanser. Sometimes I layer this multiple times if I feel I need a little extra pamper or prep before moisturising. Also feel like it makes such a big difference with the size of my pores. They are so much smaller after I apply this.
Have not experienced what others are mentioning about it burning their eyes. I don't saturate the area around my eyes but dab it below the eye area without getting it near my eyelashes or the corner where it can easily seep into the eye. Can't believe it is out of stock everywhere I've looked!
Love this stuff
Stef from Az
I use a lot of acne fighting products, so my face is always dry. This stuff is sticky if used by itself, but if you put a moisturizer on right after... it's perfect. My skin feels soft and moisturized all day.
I buy this over and over!
Gwennyco from Wooster, OH
I use this product day and night with a cotton pad and love how my skin still feels moist, even before I apply moisturizer. The old formula removed eye makeup better, but the new formula DOES NOT BURN the eyes!.
I love this stuff!

I use this after I remove my makeup or on days I don't wear makeup, just to clean my skin before I put on my nighttime moisturizer. I've been using this product for about a year and absolutely love it! It leaves my skin soft and is totally unscented, which I appreciate. My skin is a little on the sensitive side and I've never had a reaction to this. I've never experienced any stinging or burning and find it to be very gentle. I'm bummed it's out of stock right now because I just ran out!
Here's the sauce...

YES it burns your eyes. Don't use it there. TAKE. A. LOOK. AT. THESE. INGREDIENTS. don't even use it as a cleansing Micellar water- use it as a toner. This has ceramides, niacinimide ANNNNDDDDD hyaluronic acid. Please name me one high end product that has all of those? None. This is genius. My friend is a board certified derm and says this is like nothing on the market.... use this under moisturizer and it will make whatever you're using 100x more effective as well as fade discoloration due to the niacinimide. Use something else for your eyes or straight up double cleanse and use this as a toner prior to moisturizer because the ingredients are out of this world. Plump skin all day baby.

Run from this stuff! It burned my eye so bad to the point I had to see a doctor. They should really not print that it is safe for eyes. I'm super disappointed because I love Cerve products.
Not for me.
Kris from Enfield CT
I had a bad reaction to this product. It made my skin feel sticky and broke me out. I tried it a few times and every time I would wake up the next morning with new pimples all over my face. They weren't just little whiteheads. They were good sized pimples that took about a week to go away. I really wanted to like this but I guess it's not for me.
NOT for eyes, but beautiful as a cleanser!
Anna from Austin
This STUNG my eyes so badly when I tried to use it to remove my mascara at the end of the day! I had to double check to make sure I hadn't misread the bottle. I had not — it says it can be used on the eyes (don't try it, trust me).
Used as a gentle morning facial cleanser, however, this is beautiful 💖 It left my skin very hydrated, plump, and soft. I love it for that!
I hope CeraVe changes the packaging on this product so people like me can start using it right/stop burning their poor eyeballs. Great face cleanser, bad eye makeup remover.
Prefer old formula
Miller from Michigan
I've been using this for a few years but the new formula really dries my skin out. The old formula did not. Not sure why the change but I won't be buying this again. I also have the larger opening in the cap that makes it hard to control the amount of water you put on your cotton pad.
Great for sensitive and dry skin
Lele from Howell,I
I have extremely sensitive and dry skin that flakes. I don't use very heavy makeup, just a tinted moisturizer, but this works great to remove it without stripping my skin like other micellars do. I've also used it after washing in place of a toner.
Amazing, Use as a Cleanser
Jeniffer from HTX
I LOVE this product and hate how it gets a bad rep. I've personally never liked using any type of micellar water as a makeup remover (and I've tried servers from different brands) as I prefer removing make up with an oil based cleanser. I've always liked to use micellar water as a morning cleanser as part of my morning, or to quickly cleanse my face before applying a mask) and this is honestly the best micellar water for that. I don't experience redness or a stinging sensation. I hope CeraVe removes the claim that it's a makeup remover from the bottle as people are claiming that it's stings their eyes (I've never used it on my eyes so I can't speak to that). Hopefully people give this a chance only as a cleanser because it's amazing for that.

I love the Cerave PM Moisturizer, it dramatically changed my skin on the first day. 2 weeks later, huge difference, been going for at least three months & when I go bare faced my skin looks as supple as when I was a teenage in HS. The gentle cleanser was great. I got the trio (including AM moisturizer with SPF - not so enthusiastic about that specific product but my skin and SPF products don't mix well). So, I decided that I wanted to go Cerave exclusively since it's dermatologist tested due to sensitive skin & the fact that I'm older. The micelles water does burn the eyes & cause them to swell and the affect is lingering which causes eye strain for hours. I've also been trying to confirm it's this product, as others have. I also noticed it causes redness & irritation around my mates but not on my nose. This indicates that the reaction is with moist tissue or mucous membranes. Otherwise I do actually love the way it makes other areas around my skin feel. It leaves my skin feeling tight/form but actually moisturized. It leaves a sleek platform for make up application if you allow it to dry properly. It just causes a reaction if it gets into wet tissues. It's my first time getting into Cerave. I recently purchased some anti-aging products so decided to try the foaming cleanser to ensure I remove residues since the PM moisturizer is so replenishing. So far, that's also a good product. I'm not sure which ingredient in the Micellar water is so abrasive since so many other products are mild or non-irritating.
CLEANSER, NOT MAKEUP REMOVER
TO from California
Please don't put this on your eyes. Use this more as a quick cleanser/toner rather than a makeup remover.
Burns a little
Kendall from Georgia
Works well but burns even if you get the slightest amount in your eyes(which is not hard to do if your taking eye makeup off)
Fungal acne safe

Love to take off face makeup at the end of the day with this. Not strong enough for eye makeup
Please read before you use!

I want to warn others.
For a few weeks I have been dealing with burned, swollen, painful eyelids and the skin underneath.
This is the only new product I have bought to add to my regime.
Do NOT use this to remove eye makeup.
My eyelids have stayed so swollen from the burns I cannot wear my contacts. They should not advertise to be used on eyes.
Definitely Not For Eyes!
Mina from VA
This micellar water works beautifully for the face – my skin felt so soft and clean! The niacinamide also made my pores look smaller. BUT I have no idea why the state it can be used for the eye makeup removal - this BURNS! Even when using a little bit on a cotton pad it still burns. I think I will keep the product still just because it works great for the face, but I'll just stick to my oil cleanser for the eyes.
Best morning cleanser!
Tina from Fort Worth, Tx
I use this in the morning instead of washing my face to remove pm skin care. Plumps and smooths my skin , receive tons of compliments on my skin. Do not use around eyes though it will burn but perfect for face and neck will continue to purchase, on my 4th bottle
Rare person with sensitive skin who LOVED original formula
GudGurl from San Francisco, CA
I have rosacea and fungal acne and my skin reacts to so many products. I can't use Sunday Riley or most rich moisturizers with jojoba, shea, etc. I don't know why the original formula of this micellar water treated my skin so well, but it was PERFECT. Super hydrating and plumping. It was going to be my holy grail cleanser/micellar water until they reformulated it. The new formula is NOT hydrating. It's just okay. Please consider reintroducing the old formula, Cerave! Old formula: 5 stars; New formula: 3 stars.
Skin Remover, not Makeup Remover
shopulta from Illinois
This burned my skin, and my eyes. I used it for multiple days thinking it was something else. my face is dry, flaky, tight and wrinkles have popped up. I also have little bumps. DO NOT BUY. Their moisturizer does the same thing. I suspect it is the niacinamide.
Burns so bad
Carly from USA
I really don't understand this stuff and why the ingredients are so bad. I got this as a sample, thank god I didn't spend the money on it because although it works well to remove makeup, it BURNS, and it will especially burn your eyes. It's the worst, do not recommend.
