Comments about EcoTools Dry Body Brush:

I've been dry brushing for years and only owned a brush connected to a handle until I saw this one. I was in need of a new brush and liked how compact this one is because I tend to forget to dry brush before showering since mine hangs inside my linen closet outside my bathroom. It's definitely rougher than the one I own but after using it 3 times I just don't put as much pressure on it. I keep it on my bathroom counter so I remember to use it. There are so many health benefits to dry brushing plus it feels good. I do like that I can bring this with me when I travel and the cloth handle makes it easy to keep a grip on it. The only disadvantage is I can't reach my back like I can with my handle dry brush but other than that I like this.

I've only just started dry brushing a week or so ago but as of yet I haven't noticed any changes. My skin was never rough to begin with so maybe that is why. To be honest I got it to see if it would help with my inner thigh cellulite so I'm still holding out hope! When I do brush my body it leaves my akin looking very dry, but once I shower and moisturize it's back to normal. Hopefully I will see some results soon.

I ain't never drybrushed before but I'm so glad I tried. I got a little too excited and dry brushed every day I got bad pimples that week. So don't do that lol, but it's great for 3 days outta the week. It maybe a little hard, but you'll get used to it. Remember skincare doesn't stop below your chin!

This little guy is awesome. I did it before my shower, and it was a powerful exfoliation so I had to do it pretty gently but it didn't bother my sensitive skin at all and I was pretty itchy that night and it took that away. I used it before I shaved and it got me a nice close shave on my legs. Hoping for and expecting good results long term!

                        Hi Jess,

Great question. It kind of depends on how you want your skin to feel. After using the dry brush to exfoliate, my favorite kind of moisturizer to use is Body Butter. It moisturizes to the level I need, but doesn't leave shine or "stickiness"! :)

                        Thanks!

                      Hello,
I was wondering, does this dry brush help with reducing the appearance of cellulite? I've been doing a lot of research and they say you should use a natural brush.

                      Thank you

                        Hi Infactuated1,

Great question!! As much as I wish I held the magic wand (or brush) to wave and cellulite will disappear, this won't take it all away; however, there have been studies shown that it reduces the appearance overall of cellulite. Plus, this is amazing for exfoliating and keeping that skin looking vibrant and smooth. And that has to count for something, right?! :)

                        Hope that helps!

On average, I would say 1x week. If you have problem areas (like, for me, my elbows): I usually concentrate on that area 2-3x until it smooths out.

                        Thanks.

Great question - on average, we would recommend replacing the brush every 3-6 months, depending on the level of usage.

I would recommend cleaning the bristles with our EcoTools makeup brush shampoo (it's for makeup brushes, but would also work with this bath brush). You can find that here:

                        Hi Wendy,

Thanks for your question! This is such a great brush overall, but it's definitely meant for the skin on your body. The skin on your face is much more fragile, so you will want to look for products specifically made for the face.

As far as product go, have you tried facial scrubs? They are wonderful for helping to rejuvenate your skin through exfoliation. There are also several facial cleansing options (including brushes) if you do a search for them on Ulta.com.

I did a general search and these are the results it generated (http://www.ulta.com/ulta/a/_/Ntt-facial%20cleansing/Nty-1?Dy=1&ciSelector=searchResults).

                        Hope that helps!

                        Hi Allie,

Really good question! While you *can* use this brush in the shower, it's best used out of the shower (either before you take one, or any time).

The way I like to use it is about 1/2 hr before bed, I use the brush on my legs, arms, mid-section, then really focus on the areas that need a bit more care & exfoliation (knees, feet & ankles). Then I apply lotion to my arms, legs, feet & hands.

I've found that the lotion soaks in much better and I am having far less issues with dry skin since I started that regimen. I kind of feel like I can't live without this product!!

                        :)

                        Thanks!
