Most Helpful Positive Review Very light weight.beware the color is different from regular
Very light weight and smooth in texture.it gives u a radiant look like you have healthy skin.but the color of this foundation is way different from other Mac's foundations.i wear nc15 or nw13 in studio fix fluid.i got this in nc15(I was gonna give this to my friend as a gift but the deli every day was way passed her birthday!!:/)I thought I would give it a try so I didn't return it.nc15 in this foundation has more pinker tone to it,and less yellow,it's more like a neutral tone, shade wise it's lighter then studio fix nc15.i suggest if u have a shop nearby you should definitely go get color match.or you can order two colors and see which one fits u better.
there are couple things I would like to point out as in my experience.
First of all I suggest you to use a dense flat top buffing brush, not any sponge, cos it will soak up the product and unnecessarily sheer out your foundation more.i have 196 brush as well as other dense buffing brush, them both work fine.but 196 does a great job.you dot foundation on your most problematic area turn use dabbing motion to apply the foundation, then blend out along jaw line,it's perfect.
If you have dry skin, moisturize your skin well as you usually do,then use a dense flat top foundation buffing brush dab and use a patting motion to put on foundation evenly.you can skip the primer if you moisturize your dry skin enough.if u use a luminous setting powder it will help you hold up better, not don't use mattifying powder if you don't want to lose the dewiness.
For oily skin,I suggest you put on your regular moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated, then apply matte primer before you apply this foundation,if you like the dewiness that this foundation offers,u can use a luminous powder to set,so u will still have matte face in touch and dewiness in look.you might have to use powder to set especially if you have oily nose and t zone area, cos the foundation will break down in few hours around your nose.
Overall this is a great foundation that is comfortable to wear, you can feel you skin very soft and u can feel your skin can breath .mineralize skin finish powder is great to pair with this foundation.
Btw if you apply prep and prime skin primer or strobe cream under this foundation it will make u look like if you have a super greasy face, especially with the prep and prime.
Most Helpful Critical Review Accentuated my fine lines and made me look bumpy!
I went to a local makeup store that has a mac counter called Douglas. There I was just looking for my mac shade reference. I thought I'd also buy the Studio Fix Fluid, since its so raved about. When I asked the woman who was working there to shade match me, she did so, and she was a very nice lady. She recommended this foundation rather than the Studio Fix, because she said it can accentuate any dry patches. Although I have combination skin, I still want to steer clear from something that will accentuate something I don't want. So I decided to try it. So the next day, I tried it on. When my 10 year old daughter saw me, she said "Mom what happened to your skin? It looks horrible!" Now, she didn't know I was wearing a new foundation. And she's 10! It accentuated my fine lines around my eyes so badly, went into my creases. It also made my skin weirdly bumpy, when it really isn't. I am 31 years old, have fairly good skin regarding wrinkles, and have no pimples. This was making my face look so texturized! It claims that it's lightweight, my face felt like I had pounds of makeup on, although that was not the case! Overall I am extremely disappointed by this product and I returned it.
I love Mac lipsticks, and their bronzer (Mineralized Skin Finish in Give me Sun), it's great!! I love it!! So it's not that I don't like Mac products. I love their blushes as well!! But this foundation just didn't do it right!!

Amazing minimalistic product

I have been looking for a lightweight, SPF product for quite a while. I live in the south so I don't enjoy putting a full face of makeup on during the sweltering heat, needless to say this product has changed my makeup game. It's so lightweight with no added oil my skin looks dewy and glowing. I can add my full coverage product if I want but honestly I rarely done so. I pair this product with MAC's yellow undertone primer and my skin looks amazing with just the right amount of color. Compared to other products by tarte, IT and many others it's equal in cost with more benefits.

Color match is great for a fair skinned redhead. It blends and coverage can be adjusted. Better than some n less than other product types at this price point

Good if you are looking for a light coverage foundation
MAC Studio WAterweight Foundation

I had to change foundation since IT Confidence in a Compact was discontinued. I tried a different compact with IT and also MAC, but neither worked well as powder accents the wrinkles. Yikes! When I went back to return those compacts, I almost bought an IT liquid foundation but the MAC was $10. off so I tired it instead. It is now my new best friend in foundation. I am very glad of the return policy so I could find the right foundation when my former "go to" got up and went away.

I love the bottle but the coverage is okay. I feel like it's more for like running to the store really fast or like putting it on a pimple.
Gorgeous glow and perfect for my skin

Excellent product — works with evening skin tone and removing blotches. Moisturises skin without making it oily. Great product — natural looking and makes my skin look fantastic.

On my second bottle. Beautifully light.
Quick & Easy

I'm going to start by saying this foundation is not for everyone. I see it has many negative reviews, however, if you are attempting to hide under this it will not happen. Different products do different things. This is a LIGHT coating to make your face the same tone. I use this for a quick everyday look with some powder. I love this product because it does not dry out my face or make it oily. My skin is neutral and does not have many issues. I alternate between NW15 and NW 20 between seasons.
The color match was impeccable.

I liked the medium coverage and how light it felt without the cake feeling. Feels like you're putting on moisturizer.

i wanted very light coverage, but have little age related " things " that would look better concealed. i also have trouble finding really bisque / ivory shades, usually they are too orangy on me. the lightest shade was perfect, the coverage was great yet not obvious. did exactly what i had hoped. very nice !

This is a lovely foundation it's very light so it goes on so you can actually see your skin still! You're not caking yourself in a heavy foundation! if you're older like me it doesn't sink into lines and wrinkles and make them more obvious- that's a huge must. it's buildable so you could put more than one layer on but I wanted some thing that was sheer that evens out my skin tone while still showing my skin underneath the product. It has a lovely satin finish which is true and I wore it with the time check primer which is another lovely product, although it is very expensive, and wearing the two together It lasted all day, moisturizing, not dry and no perfume smell- a-must for me! I have not worn this foundation on its own yet I haven't tried it out that way yet so I cannot see how it performs without the time check underneath at this point I just haven't gotten around to it. I use NC 15 as I have fair reddish skin and I want a yellow base to even out the red. I usually wear and NC20 in all Mac products, but in this product I was NC 15 it is yellow-based but it might yield slightly more to neutral, as I have worn more yellow or foundations, but it's a great lightweight foundation; And it feels like you are wearing nothing, which is awesome; it feels really great to wear. I love this new water tint, if looking for sheer, wanting your skin to peak through versus masking it all over.

I'm almost 50 and was surprised that this looked so good on me. I usually wear Nars Finlad tinted moisturizer but my neutral skin tone has far less yellow anymore. Got this in NW which is beigy in Mac being opposite of usual yellows. I don't know if it last all day like NARS without separating, but I'll adjust stars later if need be.

I have been wearing Mac Cosmetics for about 23 years. I have tried other foundations like tarte and it cosmetics, I keep on coming back to Mac.

The shade Range sucks let's be honest but it's a beautiful everyday foundation! It's easy to apply and stays on all day! I would recommend!
I would buy this again

This product is light weight , does nit clog pores. I love it
Love this foundation!!!
Mia7 from California
I just turned 50 and my HG foundation Studio Fix Powder gets a little dry for me. So I tried this waterweight foundation and I am in love. It does not settle into my fine lines. It has a beautiful finish. And best of all, it contains sunscreen. I am hoping Mac doesn't cancel this foundation. This foundation's coverage is basically between that of Studio Fix liquid and Face and Body. Has a little less than Studio Fix and less matte, but more coverage than F&B.
Light Weight Foundation!
Jewels from Los Angeles
This foundation is light weight and it seemed slightly darker in the NC44 than the other MAC foundations. I think all the MAC foundations. MAC's Studio Sculpt foundation is number 1 on my list. This is the second favorite foundation that looks natural on. It wears nicely and does not crease it is hydrating and feels nice on the skin. It wears nicely!
long lasting with a beautiful finish

very pleased. i applied with a brush and set with powder before continuing the rest of my routine. i didnt experience oil break thru for several hours. the coverage was sheer to medium in shade nc42 on my Estee Lauder 4n2 spiced sands complexion.
nygirll from NY
Very drying, shows every line and pore, feels tight like a mask. Worst foundation I've ever tried. Premium brand? Drugstore brands way better and cheaper. Returning.

I love that this is a light long wearing foundation. Some are just so heavy but not this one. I have been wearing this for 3 years.
Need more Mac shade range

Great foundation, Ulta needs entire shade range of this foundation as well as more Mac products. I'll continue to buy at Mac until Ulta offers a wider selection of colors.
I Did Not Like This on My SKin
Myoung from Converse, TX
This is the 1 of 2 MAC foundations that I did not like. It did not blend well and I did not like the finish
My perfect foundation
Beachgirl from Charleston, SC
I love this! It's the perfect consistency for using fingers to blend and build. I find the coverage to be almost medium, but I can easily build it for more coverage. I love that it has spf 30. I also wear sunscreen underneath it, but I spend a lot of time in the sun, so I'm always wanting extra protection. It reminds me a bit of Nars Sheer Glow, but slightly less coverage. As I age I find that matte foundations just don't look as good. This doesn't settle into any lines, and it's not too glowy. So glad I tried it! Perfect every day, easy foundation!
