I would like to know if this pallet is suitable for darker skin tones. It's always hard to look for pallets online without swatches and other things like that. From what I can see this pallet is stunning I love the colors but I am very curious and cautious when buying eyeshadow pallets.

If you love reds, you need this!
I LOVE the Venus XL color story. I am big on reds, burgundies and wines. I love the pinks that are added in the mix, and even the orange shades are nice. Boticelli, Goddess, Fresca, Passion, Triumph, Aphrodite, and Celestial are so fantastic. With Blank Canvas, Boticelli, and Idolized you can put together a classic matte smoky look. Boticelli brings all kinds of drama with its depth, as well as layered with Passsion and Aphrodite. Love, Ethereal and Nu Classic are great for one and done hues. There are so many options in here! I love the buildable matte formula. If you're heavy handed like I am, it makes it easy to build up and blend out your color.
My go-to palette
I've used every single color in this palette and I love it. Sure, there's a little fallout but THAT PIGMENT. Even without a primer the staying power and saturation of color is gorgeous, although given that I'm pasty white some of the colors have left a tiny bit of staining that went away in a day or two. If you don't mind that possibility, this palette is perfect for berry/orangey/earthy vibes. I'm pale and cool toned but have warm brunette hair and dark brown eyes and this palette is one I've been able to utilize every shade from. Highly recommend!
It's Beautiful!
Listen, this palette is not cheap, but it's worth it! The colors are beautiful. The shadows do not fade or crease, they last all day and into the night. I was thinking I would like it, but after using it several times since I purchased it, I fell in love with this one! I was so happy with this palette that I purchased 5 more Lime Crime palette's, and they all have the same great quality.
Favorite pink/mauve type palette
I was looking for a good palette with pink and mauve variety. this had all the shades I loved. blends good has potential for versatile looks. it was smaller than I expected but the shadows are great. one of my Staples.
colors look the same
I really wanted to love this pallete because the colors look beautiful in the pans. But once on my skin (pasty white girl), the darker pink colors I loved most looked the same on me. I also thought there were brown shades based on the pictures, but really there were two pale orange/brown transition shades (more orange than brown) and that was it; they didn't look good on my pasty white eyes either. The colors blended well. Great formula but no obvious difference in shades. Returned for the XL 2 which I'm loving so far.
