Apply with fingers, blend and smooth on the cheeks. Pat on additional product to build coverage where needed. For best results, use after Tinted Moisturizer or Foundation. Laura Mercier recommends blending in a horse-shoe shape over the apple of the cheek to create the most natural effect. Avoid excess application close to the nose. Repeat application until desired coverage is achieved.

Love the flexibility of cream blush. I prefer a subtle tone, so a little of this works perfectly. Melts into my skin and looks natural. NOTE: I bought Provence shade, not Mistral.
Really wanted to love it
Got the blush in the color Provence and it's a beautiful soft nude pink shade. I was eyeing this blush for months but when I couldn't find a similar liquid blush shade to this, I decided to bite the bullet and get it despite reading mixed reviews about this formula. I tried so hard to make this work since the shade is everything I was looking for but it was patchy, splotchy, and hard to blend out. I tried it with a brush, sponge, and my fingers but once it made contact with the skin, it was hard to blend out. The only way I got it to work was if I mixed the blush with another medium like liquid foundation. I held onto it for a few weeks but it wasn't worth the hassle so I returned it unfortunately.

I'm giving this 5 stars, as there are so many things to love - great texture, easy to blend, held up with a full day's wear. I would note that if you're cool toned you may want to try in store. While I like the product, the color Promenade, described as a deep blue rose, leans warm on my skin.
