Step 1. PREP Exfoliate and moisturize dry areas, hands, feet, ankles and wrists.
Step 2. APPLY Glide on using a Mitt to ensure no missed patches.
Step 3. RINSE Shower off after 1, 2 or 3 hours depending on your desired shade.
Step 4. GLOW Your tan continues to develop over 8 hours into your chosen shade.
Patch test 24 hours prior to use. Do not apply to sensitive, broken, irritated skin. Do not get in eyes, if you do rinse well with water. Avoid contact with lips. Self tan may stain. Wash palms after use. Store below 30°C/86°F.

Is there something about rinsing that activates the product? That doesnt make sense, but I left it on overnight and notice almost no difference.

Self appointed Tanning Expert and this is #1
I have been using sunless tanners since i was in highschool and im 38 years old now, so you could say i know my way around the sunless tanning scene. This one is the best of the best! Spreads on easily with a mitt ( i like the st tropez mitts best because theyre not as thick as the other ones … co co tan) Even though it says express ive always treated it as a regular tanning product and slept overnight with it. And no it doesnt make yoo darker and darker if you leave it on for more than 3 hours; and im pretty pale! It fades nicely— no embarasing patches. If you're strictly looking for something to get you tan in 3 hours this product isnt for you but if youre looking for a beautiful color, easily to apply sunless tanner then hands down get this!!!!

I love this product!
My absolute favorite!
I'll scrub and everything before hand and then put some all over my body except for my hands and feet and face. I let it dry a little bit for like five minutes. and then I do a second layer I lotion my hands and feet and I use like a foundation brush in a quiet and leave it on for an hour and wash off my hands and feet and then I sleep through the night with it on my body it's still develops the next day too, so you'll get darker within two days of applying it but it's my absolute favorite. I've tried so many and this is my go to.
My go to tanner
I used the 8 hour from St Tropez for years and when this came out i was nervous at first but have switched to this the last 3 years. Very golden and consistent in hue and coverage. Only thing is it has a light self tanner scent after you rinse off and it lingers for a about a day.
Packaging sucks, tanner explodes everywhere, huge mess
I have been using this tanner for years and its wonderful, but the packaging has gone extremely downhill. My past 3-4 purchases, the tanner has been leaking out of the nozzle. Today, my entire brand new bottle emptied all over my products, ruining everything. I do not recommend anymore due to this faulty packaging. It makes for a messy application and can potentially damage your bathroom and nearby products. Beyond this, Ulta is extremely unhelpful and its impossible to reach the company about the faulty packaging. Overall I'd recommend going with a different tanner and purchasing from a different beauty supply store.
