How to Use

The spray is refreshing and has great range. It keeps my foundation and blush fresh and in place. It is an ideal product to have in your bag, so you can spray throughout the day, if needed with sun exposure.
I have seen a few reviews commenting on the sunscreen scent. As a health precaution, I avoid inhaling SPF ingredients by spraying my face and immediately walking away from that space, holding my breath.
I really wanted to like this product because I like the brand a lot, however, I had this product for a few weeks and then the top started to stick and it became really difficult to use. I bought this to take on a trip to Florida and on the way back the product leaked in my make up bag pretty badly and I think it's because the packaging is faulty which was a real disappointment considering the price. The product itself is effective, not sticky, and keeps oil at bay however the scent is a little strong for my liking. I won't be re-purchasing this product mainly because of the price and because the Supergoop brand makes a better product that is less expensive and has a higher spf so I think it is a better value than this make up setting spray.

I love the concept of this, hate the execution. First off it's weird to apply sunscreen spray directly to your face and the smell of this doesn't make it any easier, it smells terrible and dissipates rather quickly but those couple of minutes where you can smell it are terrible. Secondly, once it's on your face, if you touch your face at all, you can FEEL the product just sitting on the surface and it made me feel greasy and uncomfy, even using it without any makeup on. I feel like it's not doing what it's suppose to be doing by just sitting on my face, it doesn't help preserve makeup at all, and it makes me look oilier then I already am having oily skin. Also it's pricey I feel like for the amount of product. Overall, hard pass and has kinda turned me off to spf makeup setting sprays, you're better off opting for a powder with SPF for reapplication.

I really wanted to love this. I didn't realize the first ingredient was alcohol until I got home or I wouldn't have bought it. I tried it two times and it just felt like I was spraying sanitizer on my face. Not worth it!

price point is my biggest complaint - there are similar products available for cheaper but I love the spf in the setting spray. I have purchased multiple times

Just beware not for people with sensitive skin. I really wanted to love this product but it just didn't work out for me. Broke out in a rash and turned my face super red and slightly swollen.

I usually use powder to set my makeup, but tried this as an alternative. It leaves an oily residue (probably due to the sunscreen). It also has a strong alcohol smell. Worst of all, it doesn't work. It ruined my makeup and I had to fully wash my face and reapply all of my makeup.

Smells awful but has a nice finish over makeup.

I wanted to love this but then I opened it and sprayed it and it was awful. It smells like rubbing alcohol and it burns my skin.

This setting spray provides the absolute best results. I have used Este Lauders, Poor Professionals and countless others. Nothing compares to Coola. However it can burn sensitive skin, badly. I have had spots where I exfoliated too much and it burns when I spray. The smell is bad but it dissipates quickly and I use my blow-dryer to dry it quickly. If there was another option that provided the same best results but not much holds up to my lifestyle. I am constantly outside, active and on a 90 degree day with high humidity, this stuff will make it through a round of golf and doesn't make me "shiny". Old version of the glass bottle broke when I was shaking it, cut my hand badly and lost the entire bottle of product.

I thought this product would be great. I love Coola skincare and I figured they could not mess up an SPF. this setting spray is guaranteed to make my makeup look horrendous. It also sparks horrible cheap alcohol memories, which at times in unbearable. I'd rather carry around a giant sunscreen bottle than subject myself to this bottom shelf tequila smelling horrid product.

It does set my makeup, but as others say, it smells strong, but you get used to it. my main gripe is that the nozzle clogs and it doesn't always come out well.
Jess from NJ
The spray bottle broke so now I do know how to apply it anymore and it burns my eyes so easily!!!!

I wanted to love this but I couldn't even give it a fair shot because the smell was so bad. Like a strong alcohol vodka smell. It didn't linger but I knew I'd never use it, so I returned it.
It burns from CA
Should've trusted the comments. It burns and my face has been inflamed for a few days. I'm still recovering. The concept is nice but they need to change their formula. It BURNS.

I like that this product sets my makeup and has an spf in it. It's very lightweight but it smells like vodka and burns so keep your eyes closed for several seconds after spraying it.
Lyd from Texas
Made my face swell up like a lizard. Horrible horrible product. Took 3 days before my eyes started to return to normal. If you have sensitive skin DO NOT use.
Hannah from Toledo, OH
Used at a beach wedding and held very well. The smell is close to that of a bad tequila and burns for a few second but used it on the bride as well and her makeup held all night. I recommend but don't use it excessively.

I've used this product before with good results. My first clue that something was not right should have been a change in packaging (less cardboard, not necessarily a bad thing) and the bottle (plastic instead of glass). I could always tolerate the smell as it dissipates quickly. However, my facial skin felt tight, lips became dry and my chest turned beet red. Back it goes!

Thought I'd give this a try since I'd be out in the sun more this summer. Should have listened to the reviews. After spraying on my face and holding my breath, I nearly gagged from the smell. Not alone is the smell horrible, it also burns my face.
Anshu from Buena Park
Will never recommend this product to anyone. Has petroleum smell. Leaked in my purse n left white sticky spots on my wallet n on everything inside my purse. Leaked out half bottle. Not sure if I can return n get my credit!
Anna from Monterey, CA
It smells soooo bad. The smell is repulsive it made me want to throw up every single time I tried to use it. I really wanted to like it but it's just so horrible.
Liz from Indiana
It burned when I applied it over my makeup. Just thought it was the alcohol. Noticed later my eye looked swollen. When I washed my makeup off my face is inflamed in places with like 100 whitehead pimples. It looks like burns in different parts of my face.
SasssyJazzzy from Tampa
Stings my face and smells horribly. The alcohol base is probably the reason for that.
Alex the Gym Rat from Greenville, SC
I absolutely love this as my daily facial SPF. I've always been bad about using lotions and I don't wear makeup daily so this is the perfect option. I haven't used it enough as a true setting spray to know how well it keeps your makeup in place, but it leaves no residue and dries quickly. I'm on my second bottle and plan to continue using it daily!
Stacy from Seattle, WA
While this functions well as a lightweight sunscreen, you have to apply frequently and it has an alcohol base, stings the skin during application. It also stains clothes easily and the cap loosens easily. The cap came off in my beach bag, ruining everything inside. (Worse than standard sunscreen)
DEL from California
The worst smelling setting spray ever. It burns when applied and the smell hurts my eyes. It's too late to get my money back or I would.
