Nair Lux Wax Stripless Hot Waxing Kit

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This was a pretty cool at home wax kit. I tried this on my arms and legs with mixed results. It didn't remove as much hair as I wanted it to. It removed some, but definitely wasn't there after I finished a first and second try. I may have needed to leave the wax on a bit longer I love the texture of the wax. I had to microwave it a little bit longer than recommended to get it smooth, but once I did it was easy to apply. The scent was also a light comforting scent. What I love most about this kit was the packaging. The tub has a cute yellow color and fits perfectly in any microwave. The lid to prevent spattering and help remove the wax from the spatula probably is one of my favorite parts. However, I couldn't get the lid to stay on the tub. You have to fold it over the edges and for whatever reason my lid would not stay on. So I held it in place as I pulled the spatula through or mixed the wax. The spatula was nice and wide and it also came with some post waxing wipes. Looking at the quantity of wax in the tub, I'm not sure how many waxes I can get out of this if I'm spreading it on my legs and arms. I'd prefer it if the tub was filled, but I'll see how long it lasts. I think I would purchase this product again and continue to try and figure out how to remove more hair by getting the temperature and thickness of the layer of wax just right. This definitely felt lux to me. Compared to the wax I use for my face, this is a definite upgrade. I practically felt like an esthetician.

The Wax kit includes wax in a reusable bowl, a wooden applicator stick, 2 post waxing wipes and an instruction sheet. The wax was easy to melt in the microwave according to the instructions. The bowl includes a paper cover minimizing any splash and allowing for you to use the applicator to stir. I found the wax to have a pleasant smell but the predominant scent was still wax. The wax was easy to apply with little mess. This was my first time waxing and I was pleasantly surprised by the process and results. My underarms felt smooth and hair free. I did experience a little bit of redness but attribute that to my inexperience. Overall, I am happy with the results and will repeat the process in the future. The kit contains enough product for me to wax multiple times with the exception of the post waxing wipes. However, the instructions state that you may use oils post wax instead. I would recommend this kit for those looking to wax for smooth results.

It was easy to heat up but the application was difficult with the wax immediately hardening on the skin which made it hard to spread an even layer. When ripping the strip off it broke apart in flaky chunks. I'm a licensed esthetician so I've used several brands of wax. You can definitely still get the job done but there are better products out there.

Hard to remove all the wax off my legs, and did not melt so well in the microwave. Also, it was a really small amount of wax I feel, I was only able to do the lower half of my legs with the wax provided. It also needs more than one stirrer to use one for mixing with warming up and one for applying
