Joico K-PAK Intense Hydrator Treatment

This conditioner works great to hydrate and detangle my thin long hair, better than many other moisturizing conditioners I have tried before.

I have processed platinum blonde hair, medium length, fine, but A LOT of it. I wouldn't say my hair is overly dry or damaged, but in the winter months my hair could definitely use a drink. I received this in a free sampler bag, so I figured why not give it a try. Oof. I pretty much knew right away by the smell that this was not going to give me the hydration punch I needed. Too fragrant and not in the good way, either. Like old woman musk. I left it on for 3-5 min as directed. My hair felt okay, not as great at my Pulp Riot conditioner does, but it didn't feel awful. HOWEVER, when my hair was dry it felt odd. My hair didn't feel dry, but definitely less moisturized than it usually is. It felt weighed down and kind of frizzy at the ends. I curled my hair and for whatever reason my curls would not brush out into the soft, bouncy curls I usually have. They were very piecy and my hair felt like it was lacking moisture and volume. I even tried using my hair oil and that didn't help. This product did pretty much exactly the opposite of what it's intended to do, so it's a no from me. Never been a fan of Joico, but wanted to give this a shot. I personally don't recommend.

I love Joico products, but this one isn't quite as hydrating as I needed it to be. Disappointed for the price.

This seriously hydrates my thick, often-dry hair and improves the condition of it ten fold! It's a staple for when my hair requires some deep conditioning and nothing else will work. The scent is like coconut candy - which I love, and it works amazingly well on most hair problems I've faced over the years, whether I've got dry, damaged or over processed hair. How I use: I apply throughout my hair before bed, combing it through to distribute evenly. Then I tie my hair up and put a shower cap, leaving it to work its magic overnight. I wash it out in the morning. The result: hair that feels like amazingly soft! I also use a tiny amount on the ends after towel drying, before scrunching my curls and I find it stops my hair from turning frizzy as it dries. There's no other way I'd be able to let my hair dry naturally without it turning into a frizz bomb. As with all their other products, this conditioner is a keeper! Use it about once a week in the shower after washing my hair and it just gives it that little bit of hydration that I need. You can't go wrong with this one!
