Good coverage, but doesn't stay put

I've been using this as my foundation for about six months (through winter, into spring) along with the Clinique setting powder - I got both in a sale on Ulta. I apply it with a beauty-blender type sponge and it has good coverage. I also think the variety of color options are good. I am very fair sk...

I am so happy that I found this make up. I've searched endlessly for a foundation that 's lightweight but buildable and that doesn't settle into lines. This foundation is a must have for mature skin. A huge plus is that it doesn't have SPF as my skin reacts to cosmetic products with SPF. It's extremely difficult to find a good foundation that is SPF free. Honestly, I don't understand why foundation needs to have sunscreen because the amount that's in makeup really isn't enough to make a difference for prolonged sun exposure. I've come across many women just like me with skin that reacts to sunscreen, so I'm not sure why so many companies continue to add it to their foundations. I used to wear the Even Better foundation with SPF 15 and stopped wearing it due to the breakouts. I'm surprised that nobody from the Clinique counter recommended the Even Better Refresh version. I've tried so many different types of foundations and most of them are formulated for young, smooth skin. As we age, our skin becomes more textured, and we need products that won't settle into lines. Ladies-if you want a foundation for mature skin without SPF that can potentially irritate sensitive skin, this will be your HG. It moves with your skin, is light and natural looking, but buildable and covers imperfections without having to use concealer. Please never discontinue this product. In the past, I've used some excellent foundations from other brands that were later reformulated into thicker consistencies that looked awful on my skin. I'd search and find one that'd work great and then a couple of years later, the same thing would happen with the reformation. It seems like a lot of cosmetic companies, promote their products only for the younger crowd. I commend Clinique for offering this beautiful foundation and as long as the formula never changes and it continues to be as fabulous as it is now, I will be a lifelong user of the Even Better Refresh makeup!

    12 SILICONES + BHT?!

I won't even allow this product to come near my face. It contains an astonishing TWELVE separate forms of silicone (including dimethicone as the 2nd ingredient, following water). This has more silicone than most silicone-based face primers, so if this is what you are seeking, just buy a cheap silicone-based primer and powder; I think you'd end up with a similar result. Even with all it's additives, it still lacks sunscreen (chemical or physical), although the thought of adding sunscreen to this already pore-stifling mixture makes my face sweat just thinking about it. With a name like Clinique, we except you to formulate proceducts with skin-loving ingredients. Cosmetics companies can no longer get away with adding whatever cheap ingredients they wish in order to achieve the façade of temporarily healthy skin. Consumers have educated themselves and we know too much now. Do better, Clinique.

Like other reviewers, I am very disappointed that Even Better Glow has been discontinued. This does not replace it. The recommendation by Clinique to use Even Better with Glow Primer is sad — why should I have to now buy 2 pricey products when 1 was working perfectly. I don't mind paying more for Clinique products than chain store brands, but this feels like the company's way of increasing their bottom line.
