The strongest color payoff will be at the first point of brush contact to skin. Start application where the strongest color impact is desired.
For a natural rush of color, gently buff color onto skin using sweeping circular motions with #16 Blush Brush for more color payoff, or the Yachiyo Brush for softer color payoff.
For a seamless pop of color, layer two shades of Blush. Start with a base color in a shade that gives a subtle color to the cheeks. Layer a brighter shade in a similar tone on the apples of the cheek, then blend edges to diffuse into base color.
For a touch-up or additional coverage, use a stippling motion when applying Blush to press color onto skin without disrupting coverage already created.

Impassioned
Like another reviewer, I was initially disappointed by the Impassioned color, which did not show up at all on my fair skin. However, I think there is an initial layer of product that you need to get through. Once I got past that first layer, it was both a much softer powder and showed up much better on my skin. Now it's great!

I generally love Nars blushes. I owned Impassioned in the original formula and totally used it up. I repurchased in this new formulation and it seems not to be the same and was very disappointing. The original formula had a surprising payoff for such a light color. This new formulation for this light color shows up hardly at all on my very light skin. I am hoping deeper colors in the new formulation will show up better.

The color you see is not the color you get. It's more of a light peach/pink. I had previously bought 2 of this color and was excited to get them! Very sad and disappointed when I opened them to see the difference in colors. Even when swatched it was not the pink/mauve color you see. Bought again for Valentines thinking I got a weird color batch… Unfortunately it was the same color again.. returned all 3 with expecting the refund for only one… Inpersonally think NARS needs to update the picture to show the real color.
