Most Helpful Positive Review This is by far the BEST e
This is by far the BEST eyebrow applicator I've ever used! I used Fling and it matched PERFECTLY! I have naturally thin eyebrows so this was perfect for applying an accurate thin shape towards the end of my brows. Highly recommend and didn't smudge one bit while running around working!
Most Helpful Critical Review frustrating!
This is a strange product. I purchased the shade in Taupe took it home and hated it. Like many other reviews the powder side is just fine--pigmented and blends nicely. It's the pen side that is difficult to work with--the color when it first comes out is so sheer! You have to go over the same area in your brows over and over to get any color payoff at all which defeats the purpose of being able to make hair like strokes. I went in store thinking maybe I got too light of a shade and swatched the display ones--they were SO MUCH MORE pigmented! I showed the sales lady mine and asked if maybe I had just gotten a bad one. She agreed and told me to just exchange it-- I noted the displays were sitting upright with the pen side down--I even asked the sales lady maybe thats why mine wasn't working because I didn't store it pen side down. She told me that shouldn't matter because customers come in all the time and play with them and they get put back which ever way all the time. So I exchanged my pen for a new one--took it home and it is the SAME! I'm going to store it pen side down tonight to see if maybe that does in fact make a difference but honestly if you go to travel with this product you won't be able to store it upside down like that. I'm beginning to think this may not be worth the trouble...

I trusted the consultant who encouraged me to purchase this. I arrived in the store with my brows looking exactly how they do without makeup and hoped that would be enough of a visual for her to make a proper recommendation. Nope. Returned it the next day.
Holy grail item
Rachel from Dallas,TX
I over plucked my eyebrows in the 90's and I've tried most of the popular brow makeups to fill them in. This is the one product that does a great job of filling them in while looking very natural. I needed some practice with this at first and learned to use very light touch so the hair strokes look natural. If you're not a makeup person, I would maybe not recommend. But if you feel very comfortable with makeup I for sure recommend. Also, when I'm looking for a stronger brow look, I will usually finish my brows with a tinted brow gel after using this.
love this product!

I bought this as someone who knows NOTHING about how to do their brows and am not willing to do anything but waxing and brow tint every few weeks. after many failed attempts with various pencils and powders this MAC product is amazing. The liner pen is precise and lets you fill in just where needed and the powder tip makes for a very natural setting and finish to the brows. I just watched a few online tutorials and had it down in a very quickly. I have darker hair and wasn't sure what color to go with and Stud was perfect for a medium brunette like me (I am actually gray but after hair color I am brunette ;-). really like this liner powder combo
Barely There And Not Worth One Stare

So, if you are like me, and your eyebrows barely survived the over-tweezing trend of the 90's (thanks a lot Madonna) you need more coverage. If for any reason you need more coverage, this is not it. Even when I'm super minimalist about my makeup, I rely on a decent brow product. Again, this is not it. If all you need is barely there (and not long lasting) color, then maybe you can use this. I've never had a Mac product that I couldn't find one kind thing to say about, until now. I will be praying to anything beyond the stars that the brow Poweder palate comes back. And sadly, my depressed and patchy eyebrows are going to remain disappointed while seeking elsewhere for solid and long lasting brows.

I was very scared to use this at first, because I am only used to using pencils. But I am in love with this product! My brows have never looked this perfect on a regular day Lol!

I had micro blading done and use this product to enhance my brows a little more (not draw them on completely). The pen is awesome, usually products like this get clogged and won't work but this doesn't. I store it upright when it's new so the fluid doesn't come out too much, but when it gets used more I store it with the pen side down. I don't use the powder too often, could do without that. But I love the pen so much!!
KT from USA
I think this pen is a total game-changer. The color is spot-on for me and it looks the most natural out of anything I've tried.
The only thing I wish is that it was truly waterproof. If it's hot out or it starts to rain it comes off really easily and that's not awesome.
WORST PRODUCT EVER!!!!
Dani from West Coast
The applicator brush wont deposit pigment when being drawn on, it's also flimsy so making a straight line is impossible, and the powder end has a fat blunt end also not giving you an option of drawing on a thin straight line... I want to cry when using this product. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!
Best brow product ever!
Gen from Los Angeles, CA
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! The felt tip is perfect for drawing individual hairs for a more natural look and the pigment is sheer so that it actually looks like hairs instead of ink. The powder end is perfect for filling in sparse spots and darkening for when I want a more dramatic affect.
The color STUD is perfect for my black/dark brown hair and brows.
Licia from Dearborn Heights
I've gotten tons of compliments on this. Just wish it was easier to use, it last all day.
Powder falls & shades don't match
AshDH from San Diego
I am normally a huge fan of Mac products, but this one missed the mark. The liquid and the powder and are slightly different shades—-the liquid being a warmer tone than the powder. The powder also falls frequently under my eyes, leaving me with raccoon eyes even with a light application. So I don't recommend this as long lasting, we're talking longer than 20 minutes.
Good for brows and freckles, actually
frecklebrowgoblin from texas
This is alright. To be honest it took a little bit of trial and error for me to figure out how I liked to make this product work for me. I found that I had to have a base of foundation if I wanted to have any hope of drawing my eyebrows on (which I wanted to do because I'd shaved half of them off for kicks) and the product would sometimes pick up on itself if I didn't let it dry or if I tapped the spongey applicator over the ink too soon or too hard. I find that the pen looks really natural if I work with it, tap a little transluscent powder or wait for it to dry and then darken or add more strokes. The powder spongey side is alright, it fills in okay. I have a tiny detail liner brush I can dip in there to grab if I am not feeling the sponge applicator, and it works out for me.
My favorite use for this is adding some definition to the tail end of my brows and a few at the head of my brow to even everything out, and then touching up my freckles. When I put concealer on my freckles tend to get lost and the color I got matches my natural freckle color perfectly. I just dot it over where I can see the freckles through my concealer and it brings them out again. I think it would be worth the price just for that and having the brow options built in is grand.
There may be brow pens that are more affordable and that possibly work better, I am not convinced this is my holy grail brow product yet- but I'm going to save this package when it's done and make sure I always have one on hand for the brow and freckle purposes described. Nobody could clock that I had drawn over my freckles and normally freckle pens look obvious, and I didn't want that look. I just wanted my skin to still look natural even if I had a little concealer on. V natural.
I think I had trouble putting the brow pen on without any foundation on, so if you're going to do that I'd probably just rub a little eyeshadow primer or face primer in your brow area just to give it something to adhere to.
Not what I expected

I like the easiness of this pen and the natural but fuller look I get.
Love it but warm tones

I am very fair all brow products go warm/red toned on me. These pens are perfect for sparse brows and no makeup days. I wish they would make a gray tone for people who have extremely ashy colored brows hairs

I really like this product when I bought it in the store. Since all standing stores closed, now I have to order on line. Both times I did they tip is not the same it is smaller now it won't draw a good line.
Loved the Brush

I really liked this product to fluff up my brows.
Zero product in the pen
Mae from Gold Coast pacific fair
Soooo bad omg. For a product that's so expensive you'd at least expect... product. There is literally zero product in the pen. I thought there must be something on the pen that you have to press to release more product but no... that's just how it is.
Great Product! BUT....

This product makes it look like you have microbladed eyebrows! The result is very natural & it's not too difficult to use. HOWEVER, if you plan on extending your brows and drawing them on the skin (making them thicker/ longer where you DON'T already have hair), then the product will not grab on. This is more so for people who already have thick eyebrows and just want to enhance/ refine them. Also, it's super sheer but intensifies as you build it up. PRO, because you have more control over the pigment and the boldness of your brows, but can also be a CON because you have to keep applying & layering it to get it to show. (Lastly, if you use the smudging end of the product BEFORE you draw the strokes on, then the brush end will not distribute the product onto your brow- the texture clashes - but personally I don't find it an issue since I tend to shape my brow first THEN use the smudger side just to touch up sparse areas) FYI - the smudging end WILL show up and cling on the skin but by doing that it looses the effect of individual hair strokes which may want to make you opt for a different product. All in all, I think it's true to its claims and if you're looking for a subtle, natural yet refined look, you'll enjoy this product
I wish this came in a Lighter Shade than Taupe
texasgrannymom from Universal City, TX
The ONLY thing I don't like about this product is that even the lightest shade is too dark for my pale skin.

great for the feathered brow look! might take a minute of practice to get it down, but worth it. creates hair like strokes and looks more natural than a pencil in my opinion
The only brow tool you need
LO from Cincinnati, OH
I'm no expert when it comes to brows, I'm actually quite intimidated by how many products are available. However, after having my makeup done professionally where this was what the stylist used, I've never been more confident in doing my own brows! Easy to use, looks very natural!! Love this product so much!!
Pass on this

Too light and the lines are far too big and creates a smudged mess.
Not the best eye brow product

I bought it because I like trying new things. But I least like the sponge on the opposite end. If I ever use it, I use a separate brush to set the liquid.
Very light color and doesn't create fine lines
Karla from Augusta GA
I purchased the liner in Lingering and the color is almost transparent. It was hardly noticeable, and didn't create a fine line at all. Very disappointing.
