I love this blowdryer! I have been wanting a new one for awhile because my old one was just about to bite the dust and I decided on this one after reading the reviews. Not only do I like the design of it, but I love the way it dries my hair. The heat is not overwhelming to where it feels like it is burning, but it is enough to help dry my hair. The power of air is nice too. It works great on my thick, course hair and would highly recommend this to anyone with really thick hair because it dries mine a lot faster than most dryers!
I've had numerous Hot Tools hairdryers and can say nothing but good things about them. This hair dryer is the exception. It's beautiful and dries my hair quickly with less frizz than my other hairdryers. After having this hairdryer for a few months the handle started to become so hot that it would burn my hand. Then is started to smell like burning plastic and the handle actually started to warp from it being so hot. I went onto the reviews and found numerous others that have had the same issue. I brought it back to Ulta and they exchanged it for another Hot Tools Hair Dryer. Thank you Ulta for standing behind your products!

I didnt want to believe the comments so i bought it. The motor burned out of nowhere!!! I rarely used it and I dont think it's fair what it happened!!!!
If I could give it 0 stars, I would do that

I don't blow dry my hair everytime I wash it & I also don't wash it daily....Soo for as much as I used it, it seemed like it broke quicker than it should have. Started making noises & a spark actually came from the motor. Will not repurchase!

Haven't even had this thing 2 years & tonight it died. Threw sparks from the hair dryer on low & now it won't start.

I had only owned this hairdryer for four years you would think things would last longer than that well I guess not, I was using it the other day and every time I would put the blow dryer down it would stop working but as soon as I put it back upright it started working well I thought maybe it was the cord so all I did was wiggle it and all of a sudden there was a pop and the blow dryer started to spark then fumes started pouring out, it definitely was one of the scariest experiences I have ever had and my room stunk like burning plastic all day will not be purchasing anymore hot tool products.

This hair dryer was great and I absolutely loved it in the beginning! It shaved time off of my morning routine. Now it takes forever to dry my hair. It's frustrating because I love Hot Tools. My mom has a different model of the Hot Tools hairdryer; it works GREAT and I bought it for her for the previous year's Christmas. Now I'm thinking of switching to something else...

I had one and left it in a hotel in Hawaii. I liked it so bought another one. Excellent dryer for, price. Lightweight.

The Conair I had before this lasted years and dried my hair faster. Not even half a year with this blow dryer and the head piece falls off AND it starts making noises. Save your money and get another brand.

I've had it for only 3 years. It overheated and melted the cord. The wire become exposed and it started sparking. The sparks almost burned my hair off.

I bought this because I am trying to find a genuinely quiet hair dryer. The only way to truly know is to use a decibel meter. This one measures at 100 dB or more, just like my old hair dryer. I've developed a constant ringing in my ears, possibly from diffusing my hair nearly every single day for three years. Using ear plugs while I dry my hair may be the best option.

My husbands got this for me as Christmas gift. It was a great hair dryer initially, warmed up and worked fast to dry my hair. However, the ring around the blow-dryer melted and the diffuser attachment melted from the heat. Now when I go to diffuse my hair the attachment falls off rendering why he bought it, useless.

It didn't even last me three years.. too expensive too out our so quickly

I have very short hair and have used this blow dryer for years. When it died after many uses I was happy to find another one just like it. Love the way it dries my hair quickly but doesn't cause damage or dryness to my hair.

I bought this about six months ago and it already stopped working. The low setting doesn't work anymore, and the high setting is too intense. Useless without both setting. Wouldn't buy this again.

Had this blow dryer twice in two years. I purchased the first Hot Tools turbo ceramic blow dryer in 2019. In 2020 during the pandemic my blow dryer stopped working. I purchased the second Hot tools chervil ceramic blow dryer. February 2021 The blow dryer started making a weird noise and was not getting very hot. One day flames came out of the blow dryer. WASTE of money!!!! Never again will purchase a Hot Tools blow dryer.

Does a really great job of drying quickly.

It started to go out on me less than a year. Was grey at first but too expensive for it to not last a year.

I like that the dryer has 3 heat settings. The diffuser is cheaply made and doesn't stay attached to the dryer. It only partially screws on. Very annoying and not worth it.

This is by far the worst dryer I have ever owned. As soon as I bought it I felt like I couldn't turn it up high enough to dry my hair. It did not have as much power as my old dryer. I couldn't return it because of the sudden shut down and needed a hairdryer so I kept it anyway. It has been at most 10 months that I have had this hairdryer and it has completely bitten the dust and stopped working. I've had hair dryers last for YEARS. Never less than 3 years, let alone ONE entire year. I would never suggest this product or buy this product again. It even makes me consider ever buying anything that is a hot tools product. I use my dryer 3-6 times a week, so having one that does not hold up, does not work for me.

I have now gone through two of these dryers. They only last about 6 months if you are lucky. They work great at first and then after a few months the start doing a cool down in the middle of drying your hair. It will blow cool air out multiple times and then switch back to hot. It then will eventually stop turning on all together. This has been so frustrating since I had a hot tools hair dryer that last me for years.

This was recommended to me by the sales associate in Ulta. My last Ulta hairdryer lasted over 10 years ( not exaggerating ) and I got the old one on sale with a coupon so hoping to have good luck at Ulta again. I have had my Hot Tools a few years. I'm looking now for a travel dryer and noticed other reviewers said the attachments fall off. Unless I was just lucky, it's not true. I use the diffuser a couple of times a week without problems and I love this dryer and the attachments. Don't hesitate to get it.

I have fine hair that ranges from wavy to curly. I like to diffuse it to encourage curl and volume. My skin is sensitive so I don't like high heat. I've used this dryer for several years and love it. I use the medium heat briefly to start the drying, then switch to low to spend more time on each section and roots to encourage volume. This has worked great. My hair is shiny and bouncy with minimal frizz. I don't mind a little frizz/texture with curls because it helps add volume for us fine haired folk. This dryer will give you sleek hair with the concentrator but that's not my goal. My dryer has started to short when the cord moved, probably from how I've been wrapping the cord for years, so I've just ordered another. That's how much I like it! My only complaint is that the prongs on the diffuser it comes with are too long for styling shoulder length or shorter hair, especially fine hair. Luckily the nozzle is a standard size and my old Conair diffuser with varied prong lengths fits on it so that's what I've been using. I'd definitely recommend this dryer.

Works well for my thin fine hair with 18 in extensions!
