Then you see Tracee Ellis Ross with the biggest smile EVAAAAR on that little card, assuring you that you're going have this WONDERFUL strand moisturizing experience! Promising, with one look, that you're going to experience her level of joy when you use the product! ...and I DID!!!! I've recently experienced stress related hair loss, so I've been looking for something gentle, but hydrating, long lasting, and that wouldn't irritate my scalp. I immediately noticed a difference when I applied Pattern's leave in to my first section of hair! I actually did a real life double take and audibly said "HUH?!?!" despite the fact of me being alone, styling in the bathroom! I received complements on the smell ALL DAY LONG!! The coverage was FULL, root to tip! My ends literally felt caressed in luxurious, moisturized, loving, softness!! I bought the 25oz. bottle, and I'm glad I did because I love it! Will buy again, and again!
HORRIBLE AWFUL SMELL FROM BOTTLE... I cannot get past the smell. All I've used in this has been filtered water and it stinks of mildew by the next day! No amount of washing the bottle will kill the smell. The company itself has been no help...didn't address my questions, referred me to Ulta when my questions were for Pattern's product and finally sent me a coupon. I'm concerned about what is making the water stink. My guess is some kind of chemical. I have NEVER had this issue from a plastic bottle/container ever. New plastic items can have a funky smell but it should disappear after you wash it. Not the case with this bottle, I've had it for over a year and still have to wash the bottle and change the water daily before each use. That's a real pain (and a waste of water) to have to do in the name of taming my curls. Speaking of curls...I use too many expensive hair products to be happy with misting down my hair with water that smells like a moldy shower curtain. I can't believe more people aren't having this issue. The smell is so awful that this item doesn't deserve any stars in it's rating. Negative stars is more like it. While I love the fine mist and the mechanics of the continual spray, the mildew smell just erases all of the positive. How did this even pass muster and make it to the general public? This makes me angry that I wasted $13. Don't buy this! If you do, then you best hang on to your receipt because chances are you'll be returning this bad boy. The pandemic kept me from returning mine. I picked up a clear mister spray bottle at Sally's if anyone is looking for an alternative.

since I have bought this spray I have had no issues with smells as some ppl have reviewed. to be clear with plastic water bottles or any tbh u should not leave water in them for days n days. u should try to anyways use fresh clean water on your hair also do not fill the bottle up so the way. I fill mine like 1/4 of the way and if I need to refill which almost never galena I do just that. filling your bottle up is a waste of water and yes will lead to a stench in your bottle. when I am done using the bottle I empty it out and leave the bottle resting upside down so all water droplets can empty out I also spray the nozzle until nothing comes out (drain the nozzle) doing these things will allow ur bottle to last a long time. Hope this helps.

The spray bottle creates a nice, fine mist but the mildew smell is awful. The smell started with the first use. I've cleaned it multiple times and the smell remains.
Also mister is made is sturdy plastic but the bottle itself is made of thin, flimsy plastic with non-standard threading. The threading prevents you from using a different bottle with the mister.

This is a great bottle for misting hair. The spray comes out evenly in a light mist rather than direct spray pattern. It's easy to use and the pump mechanism isn't fatiguing on your hand.
