I have received this Olaplex The Mini Essentials Set for promotional purposes in exchange for my honest review. I travel a lot for work so this kit is a great way to be able to try a little bit of each product. I have type 2c hair medium thick and was introduced to the Olaplex brand when I started dying my hair blonde. the Bond Shampoo number 4 and Bond Conditioner number 5 were my go to. I did not see much results in the first bottles that I purchased and wanted to see what else I could use. The Bond Smoother number 6 leave in treatment was a nice add on to my hair routine. It did not leave my hair sticky and gave it a little moisture on the roots. Out of the kit, I will say the Bonding Oil number 7 was my favorite. I have some breakage in the front where my blonde pieces are more fresh. I applied this oil to those pieces to keep it from breaking and it did not make my hair greasy at all. There is no smell, a little goes a long way. Overall, this kit did not work for me, but if you are new to the brand this is a great way to try it out.

I was honestly so excited to try something feom Olaplex because I've never used the brand before. The fact that this set is for damaged hair that needs repair and stregthening was a bonus. My hair has become very thin, prone to breakage and split ends over the past year due to medication I am currently taking. I have tried many brands and nothing has helped…except this set. Prior to using it, when I would wash my hair, so much of my hair would break and fall out, it would literally completely clog my drain and I'd have to clean it after washing my hair or else I'd be standing in a puddle of water. Not anymore!!! Hardly any of my hair falls out now when I wash it and it feels so much healthier. Other brands have left my haie feeling heavy and greasy, but not Olaplex! I used the entire system just as the directions on the box said and I'm blown away at how much my hair has changed after only using it a few times. The Olaplex Mini Essentials Set is now a high priority on my list! I am always on the go especially during the summer with the kids! Its much easier to tote this kit along as opposed to big bottles of my every day products. It has the perfect mixture of Essentials for this on the go mom! The No6 and No9 are honestly my favorite. I appreciate that directions are given on the back of the box for the correct way to use and apply the products! Prior to receiving this kit I was unaware of the exact procedure for the application. The box gave very clear detaied instructions which I have been following and it has made the world of difference with using these products!
