strange consistency
I am not sure if this balm came expired or not. It has a lot of natural ingredients and the ingredients separated out before I even received it. When I opened it up, I had to stir it with a Qtip. It did not stir like a normal cream. This now looks like a whipped balm. It has a strong smell to it yet...

I've been gradually adding this cream to my bedtime routine, because it is rather heavy. I make sure to use serums and moisturizer before and put this on just before sleeping. It has a very interesting texture, waxy but also fluffy like marshmallow fluff but then it melts onto the skin. Then it feels like a slick oil. Not necessarily in a bad way! I'm actually accustomed to using thick, oily plant butters on my face at night. It's just a bit hard to gauge how much to apply. If I feel like I put too much on, I just wipe some off onto my hands which need all the help they can get. But it feels very nice! Has a gentle grape smell?

they advertise this as their thickest, most hydrating moisturizer yet but this and the ahoy love cleanser (ever since they went from jar to bottle) dried out my face so bad that it's flaking. It's odd, my skin is softer but visible much dryer. They should market this as a corrective due to the retinol alternative, but not a moisturizer. I'm going to cut down to 1-2 times a week and see if that helps.
