I was gobsmacked at how well it works!

I have medium-to-long, fine but thick, naturally 'bendy'/semi-wavy hair. It has a little wave in it if I let it air dry, and I can force it to get really wavy, almost curly, with a good light mousse and a lot of scrunching, following Curly Girl Methods, though that's easier when it's shoulder-length... or shorter.That said, it's ALWAYS been hard to curl my hair with any kind of heat before, in that no matter what I'd tried it wouldn't stay: I've tried a myriad of curlers in different sized barrels, curling wands, straighteners doing the curl method, steam curlers, several natural air-dry methods akin to what people did before hot curlers were invented ––none of it lasted more than a few hours at best, even with a ton of hair spray and letting the curl cool & set, etc. I've tried all the things over the last 15+ years.But then I accidentally caught an ad for this during the birthday sale & decided to give it a try. While I waited on it to arrive I watched a lot of YouTube videos to see various techniques, etc. When I curled the first piece I was shocked it worked so well on the first try. I did my whole head, the first time, even with sectioning it, in 20-ish minutes, which has always taken me at least 30min with any other method, if not longer. Now I can do my whole head in about 10, even with sectioning, and I've only used it about 5-10x now.The real kicker is that it LASTS without the need for any hairspray which is phenomenal!! I use the thermal spray from Lange before I curl it, but no other products and the curls stay exactly the same ALL DAY LONG. If I put my hair up in a high ponytail with a loose scrunchy and don't sleep on them, the curls will be there the next day, though the ringlets are more usually like beachy waves the next morning/day, but still there and looking beautiful! I've even gone 3 days before washing & the waves were still there. INSANE!CANNOT BELIEVE how well this thing works. It takes some trial-and-error to get the style of curl you want, since it's best at making ringlets a certain size with the 1-1.5 inch or so barrel, so achieving that beachy wave has been somewhat difficult for me, but I do know I can have ringlets on day 1, and usually have a beachy wave on day 2 with very little freshening/re-curling which is CRAZY and WONDERFUL.If you've ever had trouble curling AND KEEPING your curls in place all day (& longer), GET THIS because it will work! :shocked_face_with_exploding_head::grinning_face_with_star_eyes:
