I wanted this to live up to being a tacky, vegan barrier gel, but it was not. It felt and looked like a light lotion. But it was drying, and provided very little moisture. And worse than that, it left my under eyes inflamed, raw, flaky and red. And I can't even apply concealer because it catches on ...

not hydrating for me

I was influenced by an influencer to buy this ._. which never happens. I've been using jojoba oil on my skin for years but decided to try something new. maybe my skin is sensitive, but this product: - does not hydrate my skin (I wake up with dry skin) - leaves my skin feeling tight after applying - makes my skin red with irritation and a bit itchy after a few uses I will be giving it away to a loved one which is unfortunate. it has a nice smell though

Yes it does smell like a candy necklace, going on it leaves a tight feeling. Sadly by the end of the day my skin had contact dermatitis. Sensitive skin babes beware.
Works but...
It works ... on my body but not my face. As a face moisturizer, I found it too fragrant, and it peels/flakes off during the day. It feels tacky when it dries down then immediately starts to peel off into little balls or will flake off in strips during the day. I had not tried to wear it under makeup, but I would say it wouldn't work well. As a body moisturizer, it works great! It feels nice, smooth, and doesn't flake or peel off. Pacifica should market it as a body lotion, and I'd buy it again.
Excellent Product
This has been a game-changer for my usually dry, flaky winter skin. It's a gel consistency with good slip and it absorbs quickly. I've had no issues with pilling or layering other products. Even with the cold weather and hot showers, my skin has been consistently soft, hydrated, and dewy. The only thing I don't like about it is the scent but it's so minor that it's not worth taking a star off for.
Not good at all
Excited about a vegan mucin for sure. This is not it. It's a lotion with a really strong scent that I can't really identify. Left my skin feeling really strange. I'm tried it several times to see if it would grow on me, it sadly did not.
