Plastic Bottle Drying Lotion: Do not shake the bottle. Before bed (after cleansing and toning), dip a cotton swab into the pink sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Dab directly on surface blemishes; do not rub in. Let dry and rinse off in the morning. Do not use on broken skin.

- Official Answer By Mario BadescuThe Drying Lotion performs at its best when both the pink sediment and clear liquid are used together. Before bed (after cleansing, toning, and moisturizing) dip a cotton swab into the pink sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Apply a dab of the Drying Lotion directly on the whitehead. Do not rub in. This is now a part of my daily skin care routine. The drying lotion makes blemishes disappear over night and the rose water spray is great to put under moisturizer, set my makeup & it smells amazing. I usually don't like scent in my facial skin care but this did not irritate my skin.
