Proactiv's Emergency Blemish Relief is an invisible 5% Benzoyl Peroxide spot treatment that quickly clears up your pimple at home or on-the-go.

Details

Benefits

  • 5% microcrystal benzoyl peroxide starts treating breakouts
  • Formulated to help absorb excess oil and quickly clear pimples
  • Deeply penetrates pores to unclog them and prevent new acne

Features

  • Can be used overnight or on-the-go, on its own or under makeup
  • Noncomedogenic (won't clog pores)
  • Dermatologist tested

Key Ingredients

  • Benzoyl peroxide (BPO) - Proactiv prescription-grade, micronized BPO gets deep into your pores to kill acne-causing bacteria at its source.
  • Allantoin - This nourishing botanical promotes healthy-looking skin while moisturizing the complexion.

How To Use

Dab onto affected area with a cotton swab or finger one to three times daily. If going outside, use a sunscreen of SPF 15 or higher.

Precautions: Do not use if you have very sensitive skin or are sensitive to benzoyl peroxide. For external use only. When using this product do not use this product more than three times per day. Skin irritation and dryness are more likely to occur if you use another topical acne medication at the same time. If irritation occurs, only use one topical acne medication at a time. Avoid unnecessary sun exposure and use a sunscreen. Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, and mouth. Avoid contact with hair and dyed fabrics, which may be bleached by this product. Skin irritation may occur, characterized by redness, burning, itching, peeling, or possibly swelling. Irritation may be reduced by using the product less frequently or in a lower concentration. Stop use and ask a doctor if irritation becomes severe. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Sensitivity Test for a New User: Apply product sparingly to one or two small affected areas during the first 3 days. If no discomfort occurs, follow the directions stated below.

Sensitivity Test: Cleanse the skin thoroughly before applying this product. Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer and rinse thoroughly one to three times daily. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day. If going outside, apply sunscreen after using this product. If irritation or sensitivity develops, stop use of both products and ask a doctor.

Holy grail spot treatment

Okay so - I am 27 and finally caved in on proactiv. Nothing was working. All the negative comments steered me away. Well - I finally bought the three step system and this spot treatment. Holy Hannah. It works. Two marks I've had for over 2 weeks that wouldn't budge are over 90% gone overnight. No I ...

Will be returning

I am 18 with oily, acne-prone skin with most of my hormonal acne being concentrated to the lower half of my face. I bought this to treat my extra annoying pimples that surface around that time of the month. I'd heard great things about ProActiv so I was expecting a lot but I saw absolutely no improv...

Burned my skin

I applied a small amount of this to two pimples on my face, and I woke up with purplish red burn marks. I have used other products with benzoyl peroxide, but this is the first time my skin had a reaction. Don't recommend!

I tried the very similar, yet more expensive dermalogica version of this and this one is better hands down.

Proactiv - Yotpo

I've been a fan of proactiv for over a decade. I first started using proactiv in college. I had breakouts mainly on my forehead. And the 3 step system cleared it all up. My skin has been great since and I moved away from the 3 step system because I didn't need it anymore into adulthood. I do continue to use the proactiv emergency blemish spot treatment whenever I do get a random pimple. And it works! My pimple goes away much faster when I use the spot treatment. The spot treatment doesn't dry out my skin either despite having a higher concentration of benzyl peroxide. I highly recommend this product!

I used to use the original 3 step system in college. It really cleared up my acne, which was concentrated only on my forehead. Afterwards, I didn't need the 3 step system anymore. Fast-forward more than a decade later, and I still use the blemish treatment when I get a random pimple. It makes my zit go away much faster, which is great when you have an event coming up. This is my go to! Highly recommend!
