Love this little palette! I received the smoky palette complimentary from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. First of all, the size of the palette is wonderful. I travel with my makeup a lot, and most of my go-to palettes are huge The size of this one save so much room in my makeup bag. The colors are nicely pigmented, and it has a variety of mattes and shimmer shadows The very light matte color could be bit more pigmented, but I honestly don't use that color very often. These eye shadows blend beautifully...even better than my $60 eye shadow palette. The dark colors even make a great eyeliner when using a wet eyeliner brush. I love these little palettes, and I plan to buy more!
Nicer in the Palette The softlight palette has beautiful packaging and the colors are gorgeous, however, they did not show up as pigmented on my melanin skin. The colors are also very soft and easy to apply but I had to apply multiple layers to get any type of pay off. The other downside to the Softlight Palette is that it doesn't have any mattes/transition colors so I used another brand for that. Overall I think I would enjoy one of the other covershot palettes more since the colors are deeper and more pigmented. Due to it's size (small) it is a great travel Palette with everyday neutral colors that you can change up . That being said , it isn't my favorite formula, but it works !

This is my everyday 'go to'.
I love the matte colors. They are buildable and rich.
Can appear soft and subtle or deep and fully saturated. The best.

This has been on my wishlist for ages, but couldn't get myself to buy it because I didn't want to spend the money on color tones I don't normally go for. I have fair-light neutral skin (depending on the day I can pull warm or cool tone, blond hair, blue eyes and usually don't do grays, or purples. But THIS, blown away by how well the color worked. easy to blend, and the colors all make sense. I've used the palette a few times now and so far have used every shade - this is rare. I look for 3 things in every palette - mirror (i wear glasses, so having the mirror helps me in application), a complete palette (not having to dip into other palettes to complete a look), and colors that make sense together. This hits all of those. I want to try more of these now.
