ConairMan MetalCraft Series High-Performance Haircutting Metal Clipper Kit
See packaging for instructions.
I have been using hair/beard clippers for over 30 years. I first started using Wahl clippers to cut my own hair in high school and then continued to use them on my hair and beard as I got older. I have only ever used Wahl products and had my first opportunity to use a Conair product as part of a free sample program I registered for.
When I first opened the Conairman Metalcraft High-Performance Metal Clipper package, I was impressed with how well manufactured they appeared to be and the quality of materials. These clippers felt like they were better crafted then any of my pervious Wahl product purchases. The only thing that I did not like about the clippers was the power button. The button felt like it was cheaper quality then the rest of the clippers, however, that would not dissuade me from using or purchasing them. The rest of the accessories that came with the clippers are standard to what every other clipper manufacturer supplies.
How did the clipper perform? Since I knew I would be reviewing them, I had about 3 weeks to let my hair and beard grow. My hair was not too bad, but my beard was a mess. The guides for the clippers snapped onto the head easily and they seemed to be secure enough that I did not need to worry about them slipping off during use. When I started cutting my hair and beard with this product, I was impressed with how good they worked. I only needed to do one pass with them, and it only took me about 10 minutes to remove all my hair. Typically, with a brand-new Wahl clipper this would take me about 20 minutes to remove all my head and beard hair, with multiple passes. The Conair clippers did not pull my hair at all and did an excellent job cutting. A complaint I have is that because the clippers are too new, I could not do any precision sculpting to my beard, neckline, and the back of my head. With no guides on the clippers and the adjuster set as low as it could go, the blades were too sharp and slightly cut my neck and back of my head. I tried to move the adjuster setting out to stop this from happening but then it became too hard to get a straight line. I think the issue has to do with the blades being too sharp right now and they will have to dull down somewhat before I can use them for sculpting.
I am extremely satisfied with these Conair clippers and will be using them from now on when cutting my hair and beard. These clippers are quality craftmanship and I feel like I will be using them for years to come. I recommend these clippers to anyone looking to purchase a new product.
Upon opening the product I was surprised to see that the clipper was corded not cordless. Still it was a nice looking sleek design which I liked. Then, as I started to go through everything in the box, I noticed that the blade was crooked. The assembly was not done correctly. So, now I can't use the clipper without having an uneven cut. Bummer! I actually attempted to unscrew and align the blade but to know avail. I did plug the clipper in and they were fairly quiet. The off/on switch is push button which is a good touch but the plastic arm that is used to adjust the blade seems flimsy along with the plastic guards that are used to also change the hair cutting length. I wish I had more to say about this product
works great for covid haircuts :)
Very happy with these clippers. The number of combs is about double from other brands and really like the adjustable blend control. Power was excellent and the blades were extremely sharp. I would recommend that the power cord be increased 2 more feet as 6 feet created some challenges but was acceptable.
I've been a home Barber cutting my own hair for the better part of the last 15 years these are some of the better clippers that I've had I do like the way that the guards grip the clippers I do wish the blades came a little bit closer for balding nice constant motor I could even do the edges of my beard without nicking myself which is hard to do with some other clippers i'm waiting for my hair to grow out to give it another go but so far I would definitely recommend them I received these clippers free to give them a trial and a review and this is my honest review
These clippers are professional grade and are also great for beginners. The clippers are not too heavy and feel comfortable in hand.
