If you're looking for a cooler tone, 2-3 times a week will help maintain cool tones. I have very dark blonde hair that I get bleached to platinum. Purple shampoo is great but almost "too" purple. It does not cancel out the yellow and when my toner fades, it is a little yellowy brassy. I mix one part blue shampoo with two parts purple and it is perfection! My daughter stays with me when she is in town and she uses this blue shampoo for her highlighted brown hair it is works fantastically.
