Visable Difference in Skin Texture Though I own several of Perricone MD's "No Make-Up line" this is my first actual Cold Plasma product… Cold Plasma+ The Intensive Hydrating Complex, and normally I use a skincare product for two weeks to fairly rate it, but after a week, I am ready. I will explain more for the 4 out of 5 stars in a bit…
Now a bit about me, I am 50, I have dry, sensitive skin, and Asthma (since I was a toddler), and am a Rescue Pack Mom, so a product needs to be Cruelty-Free, but also cannot have crazy smells, strong fragrances, not drying.
Normally, this time of year I do have some texture, because it seems no matter what I use my skin, no matter how clean my diet is or how much water I drink, my skin can be pretty dry, a bit flaky even, and not smooth.
With the Perricone MD's Cold Plasma+ The Intensive Hydrating Complex, it claims to do a lot, and for me at least it is living up to what it says it will do, plus I have some scarring from an accident as a child, and it even makes it look smooth!
For me, my driest part is my forehead for some reason, its often itchy, tight feeling, even a bit flaky especially near my eyebrows.
Now my first applicate was after I had washed my face, as well as exfoliated earlier in the day, but I was still worried how my skin would react, but… Nothing! No redness, no itchy, no bumps nothing!
I was concerned at first, as it did seem a little heavy out of the jar, but I rubbed it between my hands, applied and within a few mins it absorbed nicely, with no sticky or greasy residue.
During the week, I have applied both my "No Make-up" Serum Foundation, and it seemed flawless! I even tried it with a tinted moisturizer that I use, and honestly was concerned it might pill or breakdown, but nope! It too wore beautifully, and with this, I haven't needed a primer!
I also use a plant-based Squalene serum, and it applied fine over it, but I did give the serum a moment to absorb first, I am even able to mix the two in the palm of my hand then apply.
Overall, I am really enjoying it, I started seeing results the next day, which has NEVER happened to me, and I have owned a lot of products over the years, and I part with several each month, so being happy with a product this soon is amazing to me, and look forward to seeing my results, at the end of the jar.
Ok, the reasons I only give it 4 stars, is because for a product of this price point, it really should come with a spatula to get it out of the jar, I do not know maybe it is just me, but I am not a fan of digging into a jar.
And I cannot apply this right out of the shower, so I do have to wait about 5 mins, if I don't it stings around my nose, but again this might be my sensitive skin, but if I give it the 5 mins no problem at all.
Though I did receive this for review, all my reviews, and thoughts are my own (good, or bad), and based on my experience with a product or service.
Yikes! Sorry Perricone MD. This is a no! I was excited to receive this Perricone MD Cold Plasma Plus+, The Intensive Hydrating Complex as a sample to try. I love the brand and it sounded like a great moisturizer. It has peptides to fortify your damaged skin, vitamin c to brighten and lipids to hydrate. Open opening, I noticed the smell right away. Honestly, I cannot put my finger on what it smells like. I don't care for it, I know that. It's gray, just FYI. You are supposed to take some and warm it up in your hands. (Why are we wanting to warm up something they are touting as cold by the way?) Next, you apply it to your (cleansed) face in an upward motion. Ok, done. It seemed soft and smooth on application at first. I'm not sure if it was too heavy or what, but it didn't seem to sink in all the way. (Or easily). A little while later my face felt a little itchy. I went and looked in the mirror and noticed I had a bunch of tiny little bumps on my normally smooth cheeks and neck. I also had some sort of weird reaction/discoloration/rash where I had lighter/darker spots all over my face. I ended up having to go on Prednisone to get rid of it. I normally love this brand, but this one is a no go for me! 😕
Great copper-peptide moisturizer. VERY expensive though 4

I got this today and I've tried it twice. I can't comment on any long term effects (who can? Anti aging is mostly preventative). But... I wanted to describe this for anyone considering it. First of all, this is a VERY thick cream. It's kind of eye-cream thickness. It is kind of firm and buttery. As for ingredients, this has copper tripeptide-1 (the main reason I got this), a couple other peptides, THD ascorbate (vitamin C), rosemary leaf extract (antioxidant), hyaluronic acid, and a little bit of petrolatum.
Again, this is a very thick cream and is a little difficult to spread across the face. It will be much easier to apply onto damp skin (which you should already be doing anyway). Sometimes I add a drop of The Ordinary Copper Peptide Serum 1% and mix it in my palm with this cream to make it easier to apply.
Overall: do I recommend? No- not for the price. I will never recommend insanely priced skincare (anything above $80 is simply overpriced- and $80 is pushing it). Remember, moisturizers DO NOT need to be expensive. Their function is very simple in skincare. Focus your $$$ on serums and active ingredients. I simply wanted to try this because I wanted a copper peptide-based cream to pair with my copper peptide serum. You don't NEED to pair a copper peptide moisturizer with a copper peptide serum- I just like the redundancy of doing this and it ensures maximum absorption into my skin (my logic anyway).

With all the good reviews and the price, I thought I was getting a great moisturizer...NOPE. This cream burnt my face. I was bright red and it stung like crazy and I don't have sensitive skin. This was returned quickly and easily, thanks ulta!

If you're looking for a a product to rehydrate dry and itchy skin - look no further. This miracle moisturizer will rehydrate dry skin in just a single application. It is a bit heavy at first and akin does feel a little greasy but it blends well and quickly seeps into skin leaving it moisturized and not greasy at all. There is really no scent so those with the most sensitive of skins can likely use this will little issue. My biggest complaint that I have with it is that I got a log of breakouts along my jawline. I didn't really have it anywhere else and the likely culprit is having to wear masks in the community and over several hours while at work. This product has made a great addition to my skin care routine.

Perricone MD never ceases to amaze me. I do love all of their products but this one is by far my favorite. The Cold Plasma serum when applied is slightly cold with a smooth velvety texture. I have noticed an improvement in fine lines and this does minimize the size of your pores, which is awesome. I have been using this night and day and I actually look forward to my skincare routine
