For maximum odor protection, follow the takesumi detox two-step method:
STEP 1: the underarm bar
Lather bar and massage into each underarm in a circular motion for 30 seconds. If you have body hair, ensure the lather reaches the surface of the skin.
STEP 2: the charcoal deodorant
Follow with a generous application of charcoal deodorant.
If you are switching from antiperspirant to natural deodorant, there will be a transition period (see The Stages of Detox).

Absolutely love this deodorant
Absolutely love this deodorant, it smells amazing and not an over powering fake smell. Works better than any other natural deodorant and doesn't stain clothes. Consistent Repurchase
I have to disagree with the review below me saying that "once this is done, you will not repurchase it". I have been buying this product for about 8 years; back when Mardarin Pamelo had a different name & i had to order it off their website. The deodorant smells so lovely and clean. It is better than any natural deodorant i have ever used. It does not irritate my skin at all. To be completely transparent, i do use rehular deodorant during the days I know I am going to have a more active day. However, any time i stay home or if i shower in the evening, i opt for this deodorant instead. I did use this deodorant on its own for a year straight back in ~2015. While i do think it works and can be used on its own, i realized over time that i still preferred a traditional deodorant to keep me dry on active days. Its just my personal preference. That said, i still buy this product every time i run out because i prefer the natural option on most days.
Takes too long to work
I was patient and had a few smelly weeks until it started to work, I don't really get why but it did eventually stop the stink effectively. I feel like it's much cleaner and healthier now but be warned that there is a long period of adjustment!!!
