Easy to use! I'm the type of person that owns almost all the latest make up products out there. But, I don't know how to do a lot of things with my hair, so I use my hair straightener or throw it in a pony tail. I've been wanting to try to curl my hair lately but sometimes I curl backwards in the mirror and it creates that terrible crease... so I ordered this just to see if I could get a little assistance! It works great! It heats up fast and you can't really go wrong, you just tell it which side of your head you're curling and it does the rest. It doesn't pull on my hair like a couple other curlers I've tried. And I got compliments on my hair all day!
Great Concept, Needs Tweaking Perhaps this is because I purchased this as Certified Open Box but there was no instruction manual provided. I watched the video (above) and the master class on VS Waves by Sarah Potempa and found the manual online (although there was no User Guide online like some of the other models). None of them talked about the memory technology and what it does. I ended up finding an explanation in an independent reviewer on another site although it didn't say much other than that it is archaic compared to the one used in the S1 series which seems odd that the upgraded Pro would use a more archaic technology.
I'm not sure if my issue is because I am petite (and have small hands) but having the left and right buttons that are right next to the Go button causes a lot of issues with pressing the wrong button especially when there is no Home button like in the other models to reset the clamp to align with the Go button. So unless you press the Go button down long enough to reset the clamp into the right position to start, you oftentimes have the Go button in the back of where you're clamping hair to the iron. I'm not sure why they would get rid of this feature as I would think professionals would want this as well. So blindly reaching for buttons that have no indicators like raised buttons or raised letters has caused me to accidentally switch left/right when I wanted to hit Go. I guess if you're doing someone else's hair, you can see all around where the buttons are. In addition, with the big barrel, small clamp handle (not the side where hair gets clamped but where you use your hand to open the clamp), inability to reset, I have almost burnt my fingers trying to angle and maneuver the barrel to release hair.
Again, I don't know if this is because I have a Certified Open Box (which I would assumed they did some quality control on although based on the other review where hers didn't work, it seems questionable), I don't know if my temperature settings are accurate. I have tried 410 and 450 and found that with 450, I had to hold the hair around the barrel for double the time and/or had to recurl my hair in order for it to even curl because oftentimes, only the bottom of the hair curled and not the top. The 410 temperature seemed to be a bit more consistent. Again, I don't know if there is an issue with the heat distribution along the barrel either.
I was excited to try this after seeing Rosie Huntington-Whiteley rave about it, but I'm disappointed in the quality for the price, or perhaps this teaches me a lesson not to buy a Certified Open Box although I would have thought it went through appropriate quality control procedures to ensure it worked as intended.
My curl don't last 3

I was so excited to get this curling iron. I have super long straight hair. So I love everything about the curling iron. The biggest issue is that about 10 mins after curling my curls literally fall straight. I've tried doing it in a different temperatures. I've tried doing it when my hair isn't washed for a day or two. I've tried different hair products and also no products but no matter what they just don't hold. I have cheaper curling irons and they curl my hair for longer. I'm just not understanding why it's not keeping a wave or curl at all. Just sad and disappointing.

So excited to get this and my ion curling iron does a whole lot better. This won't even hardly make a curl. Should have kept my money for sure for the price it should do something besides belong in the trash can!!
Never been more disappointed in any thing!

My college freshman asked me for this for Christmas. She was so excited when she opened it and has spent hours playing with it to achieve various looks. Worth the money. Wish they had these when I was a teenager!
The Holy Grail if you have long thick hair! 5

I normally use a 1.25-long barrel but my hair falls out shortly after use (Hot Tools) so I purchased the 1" first and it was so effective that my hair was too curly. The 1.25 is PERFECT! It is a no-brainer to use and being 60 and blonde I can say that with confidence, joke everyone. It use to take me 15-20 minutes to curl my hair. With this iron, I am done in about 8 min. It is a solid-built iron and has a nice weight to it. While it seems to be hotter than the Hot Tools iron set at the same temperature, maybe that is why it curls better and the curls last for days.
Best Beach Waves for My Long Thick Hair!! 5

Excellent product! I actually have beachwaves now that are gorgeous and last! I can brush them out over and over and the waves stay beautiful! And i have quite long, wavy, thick hair.
This is the 3rd curling iron i have tried and the last one i will need. I ordered the 1.25in. extended barrel. It is virtually effortless....Just a little getting used to the curling iron buttons and BAM! Beachwaves! The process goes fast. Does not take long at all. Before, i had to curl, recurl, and probably curl again. Not with this beauty!
I feel confident, pretty, and i look like i had a professional style my hair!!
The money is totally worth it. This is all you need 😁
